well that could actually go back to the report button issue being discussed. for example if I have a problem with you Mike and I have a few of my friends start reporting every little thing you post. then the Mods will start seeing you as a trouble maker in the forums. when in reality the real thing going on is you peed in someones cheerios and they are just trying to screw you over. alot of times the Mods get caught in the middle and in reality have their hands tied to some extent.

I know there are some Mods that abuse their powers though. and I am not arguing that aspect of GLBs moderation. my only point in the suggestion is to make the users that hit the report button be accountable for doing so.

maybe it is a dream but something needs to be done as this issue is going to end up costing GLB a number of users. simply due to over Moding and childish users abusing the report button.

People typically have their appeals ignored until it's time to come off the ban. I've had a couple overturned AFTER I had already sat out the length of the ban.

People that harass the hell out of other users seem to get their appeals dealt with immediately and are released from the ban pronto.

Not even going to get into lead mods that have quit playing leaving the door open for anyone to take over their account and screw people over because I would probably get another ban for that.

Just get rid of the button. If I saw something that needed mod attention I would PM them directly or (more likely) Catch22.

If I see something I don't like to read....there's this little red X button at the top right of my screen. It's like magic, click it and - poof - the offending material is gone.

Until they start holding the mods to any sort of accountability you wont see them push the issue of holding users more accountable for using the report button.

Just make it so when someone hits the report button, it logs them out.

do not turn this into a mod bash thread (2nd time I've posted this). If you have an issue with any of the mods, pm support.

you are more than likely completely right but I would hope that GLB would see how the forums are half if not more than half of the enjoyment of the game. and that if they keep on letting childish users abuse the report button and trying to get people banned simply because they do not like them. that eventually paying customers will walk away from the game because GLB has allowed childish actions to run them off.

Also back to my earlier point. I will not stop reporting users that are doing the same things I constantly get banned for. I find it funny that certain users are allowed to do certain things while others are not or the mods find ways to bend the rules not to ban certain users. So if that makes me childish in anyone's eyes here then I am sorry and I really don't give a damn but I won't stand back and continue to be singled out because we have a few bad apples for mods.

Oh I have PM'd support numerous times but I think to a point the mods are responsible for why certain users may or may not abuse the report button.
