I don't think it is as much that people don't want to advance or demote. it is more that at the higher levels of the game success is achieved with great coordinating and great builds. so the better coordinators and builders will make it to WL or Pro. where as the middle of the road coordinators and builders stay in Pro as lower level teams. that exist as not good enough to go WL and not bad enough to demote. then you have your bottom tier players who get their teams to Pro and get killed due to bad coordinating and even worse builds.

Yep, it's time for GLB to shit or get off the pot. They keep claiming that the leagues are being held intact for the influx of new users once this game leaves beta and they start an advertisement campaign. Well, either advertise or contract the upper leagues. This has gone well beyond ridiculous.

Even if GLB gets more players, it will take time for their dots to reach the upper leagues. Therefore, I still think they should contract.
I have other reasons, but it's been a long day. So long I can't trace my thread of thought far enough before yawn and forget what I was thinking. That's what happens when you work a 15 and 3/4 hour shift.

yeah, there are possible long term solutions to the problem, but anything involving more dots working their way up the tiers is seasons away. whereas league consolidation and/or adding a tier could help the situation immediately, starting in S30.

Bottom 8 Teams in each National Pro League automatically demote
On Day 0 eliminate all teams with less than 50 players from National Pro automatically, if they havent recruited a full roster by then they should not be in National Pro.
Then eliminate all the teams with less than 1250 in Effective Level from all National Pro Leagues
Only allow Regional Pro playoff teams to advance if they meet the above criteria.
Don't let people choose their league anymore. Teams are getting sorted as they make the climb to National Pro so they should stay together as much as possible to keep those rivalries so keep the top 8 teams from a Regional Pro League together and merge them with a National Pro League. If there are more than 8 slots demote from National Pro then take more playoff teams from the regional pro group as long as they have more than 50 players and have at least a 1250 EL.

True, many teams can skip reg. pro and move straight on up. Most of the times they have lvl 60ish players and that won't do much in pro..

I am more in favor of you must win to get in...
I do not care about the level so much as how the team arrived in the league...if it was a regional pro auto promote then i am against it...if they in fact won there elite Regional Pro league or made it to the CCG that makes sense, not promoting just to fill the holes left from teams gutting

btw, I searched thru all 100 pages of the Suggestions threads, and could find no thread started by jdbolick, so it must have been too old and slid off the end of the threads. folks seem to believe there would be value in finding that thread and reviewing all the points that were previously made, but I have no idea if there's another way to retrieve that info or if it is lost now...
