Gotcha, I apollogize if ti sounded like i was attacking you. It sounded like you said I said I wanted trophies for the CT winners and I was just trying to back my idea.

Still doesn't make a consolation tournament any less pointless.

Wow, you're finally getting to the point! CT games are still meaningless. They're just like regular postseason scrimmage games. A consolation tournament would still allow team coordinators to plan for games and the winner of the tournament, and the CT games could still have competition, like a regular season game, because the winner keeps playing in the tournament, and the loser is done for the season. And the winner, Well, is the winner of the tournament. No trophies or whatever. If you want a trophy, get to the playoffs, good luck. All teams, staff, and players get the same amount of breaks like the playoff teams do, and just like the playoff teams, the 1st round losers get a longer break.

I like the idea of having tournies or something for the teams that do not make the playoffs. but to tie any type of promotion or demotion to it wouldn't be wise IMO simply because people would sandbag to get into easier leagues. so with that said I will say -1 to the suggestion unless someone can come up with a way to make it so that teams can't sandbag and take advantage of the situation to get themselves a cheap trophy in a weaker league.

Sadly I will say there are no way to prevent people want to stay lower league and grab trophy....

I watch it every time our local college team ends up there just because it doesn't play in a major conference. Support your local team... not just the big money guys.
