I think that teams should be reduced anyway. In my opinion, there should never be a CPU player, much less a CPU team.

I'm ok with this as long as D leagues are the first place teams are reduced. No reason to have D leagues if there are human teams looking for dots at that age.

I'm not sure if the amount of dots has decreased quite a bit recently, or if Bort just over-anticipated dot creation. But regardless I can't figure out why there are so many "dead" teams... CPU teams loaded with CPU players.

1) Take out ALL CPU players. If the team can't fill that spot, they have to make-do with a short roster, likely taking on huge OPPs.

2) Once CPUs are gone, the game should be in a better position to determine how many teams can be "erased".

Even if those 2 steps are done over the course of 2-5 seasons, or done all at once with a league/conference shuffle, it should be done.

But we digress. A "casual" style of play may take away players from the "main" game (and in my case, it would), but the agents that leave outright (myself) aren't much of a benefit to the main game to begin with. Also, I anticipate some of the beneficial agents staying primarily on the main game, but perhaps dabbling in the other (as it would be quite different), thus increasing Bort's cash flow

I know what you are saying but I like D leagues for dots that I just want to have around for fun. I consider D-league teams the equivalent of player's casual league. No forced tactics. No Owners dictating build plans. Etc. Most of my dots go to human teams. But I've always had some aging dots or just experimental builds where I preferred teams without drama.

ideally the game would have so many players that it could offer several tiers or tracks--some people could create dots that play every day, every other day, maybe even only once a week. but right now the user base too limited to have several complete universes of players each on a different system

I dont think it as limited as people say. I would be guessing that at least around 85% of the top teams are in networks with farm systems. These teams already have their shit locked up. As far as the large amount of shit teams out there, I think they could get by on less.

I havent paid for flex on here in a long time, I keep recycling it all until its gone. I would however spend money to make players if there were a league that played everyday.

There clearly is a demand for more games, judging from the use of both planned and unplanned scrimmages, and that demand is currently monetized at 25 flex per team per game. GLB would be foolish to just give that away.

For people that set team-wide tactics, you have a very good point. But what about people like myself, who only play the game to build a player and see how he performs? The extent of my/our work is just training and allocating points when necessary. If there was a separate league for people that only wanted to build players, and not worry about OC/DCing, then it would make sense to greatly speed up that league for less wait between allocation and checking stats.

One way is to get more players, but that's expensive.

Another way is to buy a non-casual team and run it. Not free, but not that expensive, either.

The free way is to become an OC or DC for a non-casual team. Low-level teams are looking for coordinators to the point that you can likely find one who'll give a new coordinator a chance.

Either of the latter two, in particular, will give you plenty to do.

The higher level D-leagues are just nonsense. Basically rewards people for creating useless QBs and HBs while also rewarding people for building terrible everything else.

I have zero interest in doing anything other than building a player. Zero.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Please educate the casual user as to why this would crush the game
