Seriously, just PM the owner. 99.9% of the stuff that goes on with owners and agents can be fixed with a PM to the owner.

Well, yeah. That would be the first thing to do. Support would be the next step if that didn't pan out.

I just assumed that would be implied. lolme.

^^^ this ^^^

On the rare occasions that an owner or coach does this to punish a dot, Support will step in and help out.

There are definitely some real douce bag owners out there, but this would only fix part of the problem. A true douche would alternate games to make sure you only played half the time, and still couldn't get the release ability.

That, or else they'll just stick your dot on the FG block team and call it a game played. Still like the suggestion as a step in the right direction though.

Yesss
1+++++ yes very bad owners

Gao, you're relatively new to the game and I'm not sure if you've ever been an owner. I assure you that for every bad owner there are a thousand shitty agents that won't communicate with the team (owner, coordinators, other agents) and then blow up about issues like this effectively pissing off the owner creating a cascade of douche maneuvers by both parties.

To illustrate my point, this season I've received a ton of PMs by a noob bitching about his horrible dot not being a starter. I am not the owner nor am I even a lolGM. He just thought because I post in the team forum daily (what most good agents do) that I had some kind of influence with the depth chart. I explained to him that I have no control over such things and the idiot still sends me PMs to this day about his horrible player. I asked the owner about it and the owner told me that the agent has not sent him a single PM (and the guy has not posted one time in the team forum).

If the op's suggestion were implemented I would have lost several players in the past. Not because I was being a dick, but because I was running several teams and the agent couldn't be bothered to PM me. Almost every instance this has happened I found out that the agent's player was not on the depth chart 4 or 5 games into the season and then placed him on the DC. Notice I said I found it...not the agent.

ya I always find it funny how I have to post in my teams forum "if there is any even semi issue with play counts etc, speak up now in the preseason so I can fix it before the regular season"

it's pretty easy when owning / coordinating for many many teams to miss something. And like AMD said, sometimes you don't notice unless the agent speaks up...

and some agents wait 3+ games into the season to mention that they were not even on the depth chart. They are pissed beyond belief and you have to try and work with them saying "sorry I didn't know, man if you had told me earlier you wouldn't have missed any regular season games" etc

@Dub J: Sounds like you wouldn't have lost any players cuz you were the one who (eventually) noticed the dot wasn't on depth, "not the agent."

If the dot isn't on the depth chart and the agent releases the dot, would the team really miss the dot?

Suggestion is allow them to leave if they aren't on the DC for 2 games.

Yeah, but if they don't notice...

But there is already a better system in place.

I'd only be for this suggestion if there was another alert that was sent out to owners "_____ was not on the depth chart" etc

that way the only way they'd loose the player is if they intentionally did it... perhaps make it 3 games so that if an owner didn't log on in a day and a half he didn't risk loosing players

also, keep in mind that you would have to wonder about the logistics behind it. Say for example you don't have your rushing QB on the QB depth chart, but rather as a custom QB2 (so that he's only in on the plays you want him to be in on).

Is that QB considered on the depth chart? If so, what's to stop someone from say throwing your dot in the QB2 slot and just never calling him out for a play? If not, what about the rushing QB, he can just choose to release himself at will?

How long does it take for something like this to go through support if its necessary? I've never had to do it, but have been in the situation a couple times where the owner/coordinator was being an a-hole.

Took about 2 hours the one time it happened to me. The owner went inactive for over a week and never put my dot on the DC (he had no GMs).

I'm pretty sure they expedite things like this.

Well support did nothing for me(a long time ago). I had to wait until the guy soild the team back after like 4 weeks of inactive. IN 1 case had to ride the season out and this was when we did not get any xp for being on the roster. Totally fucked my guy out of a season worth of xp.
