Anumber1 has the right build for the purpose of his CB..It is CB 101 to stop the receiver from catching passes. As a CB is many times the last line of defense, you want a CB with the vision, speed and agility to get to the ball and bat it down or INT it. Either way the goal is to keep the ball out of the receiver's hands.
I looked at number1's percentages of targeting to recpt's allowed. Just looking at this season alone, 27trgetd, 9recptallwed. That CB stopped 2/3 of the passes of the WR's he covered. Even with allowing 9 recpts (a small perct), he had 13 PD, 1 INT and 13 tackles.
That tells me not only is he covering his dots well, he's actually out there making other plays too. That's where high vision comes in. Vision, without any doubt, is way more important than catching for a CB. I've been screwing around making my CB's wrong.
I"m going to make a new CB next season. And I'd like number1's opinion on where to put SP's, etc..My limited knowledge on this tells me to hold onto the SP's until I train speed to a certain number. I just need to know what that number is. Then, is my next move multi-training, or saving up the SP's, intense training 2nd main attribute and repeat what I did with speed?
I'm guessing, if that is how it will work, it would then be at that point I start multi training. Hope ya let me know if I'm on the right track.
It's really guys like Longhorn,Worker, and Rage that gave me ideas on how to build my CB's. I just added my own twist on training and make sure I'm not wasting SP's on minors early to take advantage of ALG's in majors early on. The best thing you can do is get your hand on the VPB and mess around on that to get an idea on how your builds can look end build. I've done it on my CB and posted it in the build advice forum and got some good advice on making sure I still get enough BT's for 4 AEQ pieces while getting my vision a little higher since my 1st attempt only had 75 vision end build. Got it closer to 82 while still having jumping in the 80's as well.
Recently other guys in a network I'm in have given me ideas after seeing some of their builds at the highest level of GLB. I've had some pretty good dots but still notice I can improve my dot building when I see some of the dots out there.
