hum interesting, I've done a possession build myself back from season 1. I've had great success with it, however, how this build needs a supporting staff and needs to run the proper offense.

When you get past lvl 24, almost all WRs have strength of at least 30 and you won't break a ton of tackles even with 40 strength.

I created a YAC strong possession receiver back in season 1 too.

he was hugely successful in a short passing game. in the current system he's in, he's used more for run blocking.

he's broken a few tackles of his own though and took them all the way to paydirt.

He has a very high catching rating, and a well above average strength rating for his position. On his previous team, he caught everything that was thrown near him, whether there were defenders on him or not.

on his new team, he doesn't even get thrown at.

this type of receiver is great if your offense, as a whole, kinda sucks. if you have a good offense, this receiver likely won't even be targeted. but he's still very useful for run blocking.

Iono, instead of 3:1 capping strength, I'm thinking its better to just spend it on speed/agility/vision in order to get into a position to get OPEN and then catching the ball.

I've been a little gun shy about getting strength up to 40+ if that means that my agility/catching/speed/vision has to suffer.

I sure don't have 30+ strength ?

I must disagree at this , I find skills like confidence , vision and jumping more important than strength .

Everything with strength is excelling this season because of the tackling nerf. Better be ready for next season if strength is adjusted to not be "so strong".

The player was made last season. It looks like he's actually worse this year than last year.

I've seen WRs with 40 strength and they definitely can make some plays

I am also testing a strength WR.

Doing ok so far, I think he will do even better when I get around to increasing his speed/agility.

Get catching. Catching is needed for a posession reciever.

if you want to see a REAL 40 strength experiment look at my WR.

once you get as high as my level with that high of strength you are deadly...just look at my YAC, broken tackles, and yards per catch.
