The truth is that taut is a very good dot builder, but not the best in the game. However, a complete team full of taut dots is still better than almost any other team in the game. But the reason he hasn't won any rings is two fold. The first is that he runs pretty simple, conservative offenses and defenses. It makes it difficult to beat him, but teams have found the way in playoffs when they put the time in. The second is a little bad luck. This is an RNG and anyone that thinks if we resimmed every playoff game from the past 10 seasons that taut doesn't come out with a ring somewhere is kidding themselves. In the end, taut relies on his great dots to make plays, but they just haven't when it mattered enough.

Yeah, this is pretty much how I like to see it as well.

MPHD plays a different style of game than most teams, both defensively and offensively...we don't rely on superstar dots, we tend to grind it out possession by possession. That makes us very consistent, but against the top teams in a carefully gameplanned match, it still takes a little luck to get over the top.

I think the reason MPHD hasn't won yet (its just a question of time) is that taut has been building rather balanced dots compared to some other. You get a very solid team that way, but you need a few "star" dots to go all the way in the playoffs. I would have loved to see one year with a combination of the current MPHD players and my season 8 day 0 generation

Yep...for all the dots I've built, I really think there are only two that have been really dominant...probably the best players at their position.

Oscar "The Great One" Balbuena

and

General Senggelinqin

Both defensive line, my favorite sort of guys.

Sam Mallory and Louie the Roach are pretty good though....and Spleefy McSmokalot was pretty good too. And Johnny Tso was good in his day.

So lets combine a team where you do all the line dots, most of the rest of the defense and I take the skill positions on O
