Maybe they didn't have a HOF offensive tackle with good speed at RT. That was the problem when most other teams tried to run it. I was lucky to have my OT at the highest level at the perfect time for his build. We had some great HBs who could break tackles (the great Ricky Watters comes to mind).

Go ahead and minimize my offense though. You know it was effective.

Here was our do or die game 16 vs the #1 rated team in GLB at the time, the undefeated Bonn Dynamo, who was also the biggest screen team at the time. They also perfected the zone defense which no one else was using much at the time:

If I recall, we would have been in at 8-8 as long as Halifax beat a lower ranked team they were associated with. I think Halifax lost on purpose so the other team would get in instead of us. I never cried about that. I also know that I did a good job as OC. By the end of the season, I'm usually zeroed in on the best plays and specialize in running the ball, screens, and running QBs.

thanks. I know the first half of the season is going to be rough with low chemistry, but as long as we are at 85+ chemistry for the playoffs, I think we'll be fine. 4-4 first half, then 6-2 second half? As long as we can get into the playoffs, I never worried too much about home field advantage or match-ups. I know that is a little more important now, but what can you do.
