for example, does a QB only see 1 player at a time, unless they are "open" and then it's a vision check? Or does the QB look for open people, and put more of a focus on whichever person is the person on progression, and others are a harder vision check etc.
In the first, it would have to be a vision check to find the "most open person" and then focus on that person.
In the second, it would probably be, no focus on anyone, and make the vision check easier for all players.
so it really depends on how it works. It could work even completely differently... to be honest I don't really know. What you are wanting might not even be possible per saybasically what im suggesting is..if we have the ability to select a "blank/any" in the progression slot, all that means is that it acts as tho there was nothing selected for those few tics(like there was no progression in the first place) then it goes on to whatever the next selected progression would be. That would open the field up to the QB to rely on his vision to find a receiver match up he likes. if the QB feels there arent any good match ups then he goes to his next progression.
i dont think bort would have to code anything as far as the mechanics go. a "blank/any" just means execute play as normal for those tics until the next progression kicks in.
