Ya, no shit. I was hoping to get our team in the new expansion leagues in africa where we would be on even footing with the rest of the league instead of jumping right into an established one.

do you really expect a brand new team with shitty chemistry to really match up well to established teams at 100% chemistry?

if you clearly outmatch another team, you should beat them soundly. I know in my pro league when my team should win we hang 121 on the opponent. If we only beat that same team by 7 points it'd be a tremendous disappointment.

You had a grace period to not even get chemistry hits. Should've used it better. And you're right, you can't make your dots play better; should've gotten better dots. If you still have a crappy team next season? You will have a crappy team next season.

You're sounding stupid again. We didn't recruit pretty much at all. We're all from a common forum therefore we filled the team out. Because of this we expected massive growing pains for the first season. I was given the team off the waiting list a week before last season ended. I had to drop nearly everyone from the team in order to have room for my guys. The admins did not give us a chemistry bump and immunity until around 3 days before this season started. Therefore we started at around 60 for chemistry.

You really can't suck enough can you

i emailed them almost immediately when we realized our chem was going down so rapidly. I chalk a lot of it to the fact that none of us have run a team before. When I realized that other teams were getting the immunity I pressed the issue further. Then 3 days before the season started we got bumped up. However I still had more moves to do, cleaning out the old team, so chem dipped more. We didn't get the immunity at the same time. Honestly we started the season either in the 50s or 60s.

Hell of a lot of teams win big games with low chemistry. It seems to be what the losing teams use as an excuse... and the winning teams try to brush off. Quite the Catch 22. Too bad we'll never really know for sure.

I don't think they have given up, they are being very defensive at times but attitude of some of the posters would suggest otherwise but . They have the capability to make a push say next year but hopefully we wont be around to see it!

We haven't given up at all. We're actually doing far better than we expected. Again we'd never run a team before so we're playing with tactics each game to see what works etc. GLB has limitations in it that causes it to not react the same way that a real football team does. We're getting in our groove though. The beauty of this game is that the levelling curve allows lower level teams to catch up. We have a few kick ass players (our WR's, our defensive backs etc) and now our other players are coming in line.

We didn't give up, we just had realistic goals for this season. We can want to do well but the fact is, this is a numbers based simulation that we have relatively little control over. I think that will actually be our strength going forward. You wouldn't believe how many peopel think that shit talking on a forum will translate into bulletin board material.

Exactly, you have done very well considering the circumstances, however now we have it in the open you don't need to remind us all the time how hard it is!

Of course, if someone provokes it is different.

we still talk crap because this is a game and such things make it more fun. This forum would be dull without us.

Sure but it works in moderation, whilst we don't want to sound like a bunch of old gits, the forum was a lot calmer before you came. I am all for banter but it is nice to just have an ordinary convo like we were having earlier.
