I never said "what happens last year will be what happens this year!"
Why are the patriots always the favorites to win the championship? because they won it the year before,and beacuse they were so good the year before. Why are the cowboys always predicted to win it all every year? Well, that is because america has a crush on them for some reason.
I can almost guarantee that the celtics are going to be favorites to win it next season, and so will the red wings, and that is because they won it the previous season, that is why they call it defending the championship, because people consider it theirs to lose.
No shit, each year is new, but you can only go by what a team does the year before so early into a season. This is why we have preseason rankings (duh), what do you think those are based off of? uh, the year before!
