This idea is lacking without the induction of once upon a time pee wee players that went on to have the best careers through the glb ranks. This is the 10th season of pee wee so many of the first class of players are closing in on wrapping up very fine careers.

Also - it should be noted, I introduced the idea of a HOF 3 seasons ago.

I think the problem with inducting players is teams in the lower end leagues can have 1 or 2 players that can really light up the stats. When you get in a more balanced league the kill stats are not happening because teams like my own spread the wealth to many players that none stand out.

Also look at the reverse side of it, if a Defensive LB explodes with a gazillion tackles, thats not so much of a good thing, that means the team he is on is probably getting killed most every game. Where a nicve built more qualified LB might not have those stats based upon the fact that he is on a good team where time of posssion and scores are relatively closer.

Also thanks MGeezy

Reread my post LE - I'm in favor of recognizing pee wee players who had stellar CAREERS in glb, not 1 hit wonders in their first season.

In that case, there's no free cheese for teams that ride 12 fully boosted players b4 game 1 of S9 to a 46-0 record. Short Bus had the level advantage in all but 2 games that season.

Also, one of the best runs in pee wee history was FCA from S8-S10. 3 straight golds in L1 which was arguable the top league during that span should not be discounted.

I suspect there are a lot of good teams/coaches being left out of the discussion. There were a lot of very good teams that don't exist anymore, and there is a lot of emphasis being placed on just the past few seasons.

And I'm not sure about the purpose of the inductees from each year. Is that supposed to be the best OC or DC from that specific season? Or is it more of a lifetime achievement type of thing? For example, Dead.Ed as a DC from last year. This is meant as NO disprespect to Ed, I think he's a fantastic coach. But he had never won a single championship before last season, and one was a lolCopper team and the SBWL title was due to the offense (I know SBWL had the fewest yards given up statistically, but IMO they weren't the best defense, I thought Tombstone's was better. First, look at Tombstone's offensive production in the playoffs, SBWL didn't do any better than anybody else really. Second, having a great offense will dominate the TOP and reduce the number of yards the other teams gets. It's tough to gain yards when the other team only has the ball for 20 minutes). So if it's a season by season thing, then I think he has a great argument. If it's a lifetime thing, then I think he has a few more seasons to build up his resume.

And that's just an example, I'm sorry I had to choose somebody for an example.

It's a Hall of Fame, so naturally it would be the lifetime achievement.

The reason we're doing a voting thing is I guess because everyone has their own opinions. You think that Tombstone had a better defense.. cool; vote for whoever was running there defense. If you go through the thread, some people will agree with you.

On the other hand, some believe Ed is the best, including me. First of all, he led the defense en route to the best season in peewee history (SBWL). Second, he led his team to a 16-0 regular season (his boosting restraints shouldn't be held against him.) Third, he completely turned my team, the Chicago Mobsters around. Call me cocky, but imo we were the second best team in silver by the end of that season (behind Cascade whom we lost to in overtime).

In addition, no one said that the can only pick ONE DC or whatever to be in the hall of fame. I think we can both agree that Ed will be in the HOF eventually, if not after this initial voting.

Any coordinator that gets a gold championship imo should get in to the hof. any coordinator that gets a championship with a perfect season is a no brainer

There is no doubt that LE deserves the OC HoF as his offense in S15 was the best I think Gold ever saw. I just think Dead.Ed is getting too much credit as he was just in the right place at the right time because his defense benefited from that incredible offense. Case in point is that his own Silver team has yet to break into Gold, so why was he so good with SBWL and not with his own team?

Personally, I think you could have paired any top 10 Gold DC with LE that season and they would have done very well, probably in the general ballpark as Dead.Ed. Not taking anything away from Dead.Ed as what he did was a feat, but the defense didn't need to carry that team, which is where you usually find the best DC's.

There is no doubt Dead.Ed is a higher end Gold DC, but to say he is deserving of a HoF spot because he had one great season on an incredible team is pushing it. If he can win a Gold championship on a Gold team using his defense but with an average offense, then he is deserving of an HoF spot.

I would vote in the duprae's first as they had an incredible defense for several Gold seasons with a good, but not great offense. Their defense held teams in check and just needed their offense to score enough points to beat them. Think of some of the great defensive teams that have won the superbowl with an incredible defense with only an average offense. Ravens come to mind as one.

I might vote in mccollums. I mean how many great teams has he worked on. He did win a championship with Tennessee in season 13, got experimental builds to gold in season 15, but went CPU, and was the head coach of Tombstone.

So why don't we all just twittle our thumbs while waiting for the games to be played or in between game planning? We could sit around and talk about all the gm changes on Copper 3 I guess.

You can't be inducted into a HoF until you retire.

Can I say TT = S17 first round inductee?
