This is a courtesy post to let you all know that we are investigating and discussing some ideas about how to deal with the obvious lack of respect that some people have for this game and the other people who play it. Going out of your way to hax and try and ruin the enjoyment of other users is not something that we want to see happening here, especially at the highest level of the game.

The options we are discussing to address any current or future issues include removal of trophies (awarding them to 2nd/3rd place) and forced team forfeiture.

I am also in the process of looking at updating the stats output for trophies to use an "adjusted" value that treats cheater stats as fractional values similar to how the MVP formula discounts blowout stats, as a possible more permanent all-in-one solution for all leagues.

They should at least say if this bug was introduced with the new equipment overhaul. Even if they don't want to name names, it would clear up a lot of the suspicions about the integrity of the sim in past seasons.

again, taking convicted cheaters' words at face value.

according to blln, it was 2 guys on the Blaze. It was slow aschit and at least one other of PTs guys on the Blaze playing in the game against QCBC.

actually, the bug was cleared up with the new EQ overhaul by accident. The bug has been open since the beginning.

I didn't read the full thread, but of course QCBC should be awarded the win. Blaze won with a player, or more, that cheated. In any serious sport when it comes to doping, the whole team is penalized when a player is caught (not including the american sports as you guys sadly have a very long way to go to reach a sensible attitude and penalty system for cheating in team sports).

Past precedent says nothing will be done.

If you recall several french agents on the Paris Dream Bolts used a very similar loophole to have crazy EQ bonuses for several seasons much less one game and nothing was done as far as reparations; they were all banned of course. They held some good teams back in Western Europe, amirite?

Agreed. That's the big thing I want to know as well.

The only part of this I don't understand is about PT. Did the guy even have control of Slow at the point the bugged EQ went into effect? I know blin actually took over his account last season and kept it updated at various points because PT was very busy with work/new kid. It just seems so out of character given how much work he had put into showing what was wrong with the game and trying to make it as fair as possible.

imo; award game to QCBC or at least resim it.


Bort needs to eliminate this issue from affecting this season at the very least.

Minsk was also guilty of this. They should forfeit their win and all people that picked Cobra Kai in the pool should be reinstated imo
