Look...I have liked being in WEPL, but I'm kinda tired of some of the dissing in here and feel I need to defend my team. Go look at the last 5 games of last season and who we beat. No disrespect to Speyside (who I think are really good), but we beat them, Badin Bandits, as well as Toros/Belfast in their prime. Oh and the 11-0 Dirty Brew South Crew that is leading AAA now. Winning AAA is worth something.....

We are just pummeled with our real business that we own and would love some EQ money for my guys that need it. No offense to Tulsa, but got fck'd by the server being down for 2+ hours before game time so we couldn't load the AI for one of the only games we actually game planned for.

Look this forum should be more about WEPL against to APL than stuff like this.

Hmmm.... I think the most positive aspect from our switch from the USAPL to WEPL has been the civilized forums here where I think everyone treat each other with respect and tries to contribute constructively to the discussions.

Moretti, did you read the entire post? He said they beat Speyside in their prime. I don't know how much that matters, but he wasn't referring to this season.

I did the rankings of the WEPL teams. We had to do a lot of juggling at the top due to games already played and upcoming tournament match-ups and potential match-ups.

1 - EE already played D9 in a ranked game and could play Carthage in their tournament. Got the nod over NPN based on zeta being tougher, a couple different rankings, and the results of their ranked games.

2 - NPN already played D9 in a tournament and plays Carthage next. Only other unbeated in WEPL, good results in ranked games.

3 - Alpine beat Lyon head to head so I put Alpine above Lyon. As for Alpine versus Parma, Zeta is a much tougher conference, Alpine has already played a lot of good WL and Pro level teams, so they're no strangers to that kind of grind.

4. Lyon Winemakers - Zeta is much tougher than Alpha
5. Parma Panthers
6. Warsaw Wolves
7. Bath Killer Bees
8. Speyside Whiskies
9. Lux Borg
10. Tulsa Doom
11. Baden Bandits
12. Munchen Zeebachs
13. Black Hand
14. E-City Mercenaries
15. Fareham Demons
16. Windsor Nobles

Warsaw - Bath Killer Bees could have been reversed. Warsaw won the head to head in a game that Bath outgained them by about 100 yards. Warsaw may have been higher in the matrix rankings at the time.

Munchen, Black Hand, and E-City was tough. Munchen had the better record but easier schedule. I think all 3 teams were within a few spots of each other on matrix rankings. These 3 spots are pretty much interchangeable so don't read too much into it.

I should have taken notes when I did this, because I put a good bit of thought into it. The hardest part was comparing the two conferences. I think you can go really deep into zeta, pull out a team, drop it in alpha and it would be a top 4 team. I think we know what to expect from NPN and Parma, but the current teams that are 3rd through 9th, I'm still trying to figure out.

Looks like a pretty good ranking of the teams to me rutgar, although I think the Fareham Demons are too high

Rankings look good to me also I think you could take 8 through 16 and shake them up any way you wanted. I'm looking forward to the Munchen vs Black Hand game. I have no desire to see Speyside play either one of those teams again.

Yes I did read the entire post, nice jab there.

I don't believe you have interpreted that correctly .Neither Speyside nor Munchen are in their prime yet (albeit quite close) so he cannot be referring to either speyside or beating speyside while munchen would be in their prime. (that argument would then suggest that munchen is past their prime and not worthy of higher consideration anyway)

He was referring to the Torors and Belfast as they have clearly fallen off due to old age.

Referring to how a team did in a lesser league last season isnt a relevant comparison to how one has done after 11 games in the next season in a superior overall league. My point is that yesterdays game between speyside and munchen should not leave any doubt that speyside should be at least considered to be ahead of munchen in these rankings.

I think the rankings for the scrims are pretty reasonable myself.
