So don't run multiple teams and bring in some extra help so you don't have to do everything. It's not s big surprise that people get burnt out doing all the gameplanning/recruiting/and everything and owner has to do.

I certainly see both sides .. been on both. I have to say, merging is almost a requirement to win in the WL and that rather sucks imo.

There is a level the game stops being fun and .. and maybe i'm not asking the right ppl, but i'd love to find a group of good/intelligent ppl just waiting to help out teams instead of lolGM. They don't exist. Any OC/DC on a top Pro team is fielding PMs for helping out lolMinor teams left and right. There are not a lot of ppl out there that can put in the time necessary.

Shortbus is pretty close to having stuck together. We have a lot of the players we started with as a season 7 expansion. I highly doubt we could win a WL title next season if we make it there, but who knows. I have a good number of elite builds set to join my team already next season so it should be interesting.
And I hear ya with the GM thing. That's why I got pretty good at doing everything. I just couldn't find someone with both the time and ability to handle crucial GM spots like OC or DC. I used to run 2 teams fully and partially run another pro/WL team and can't believe I was sinking that much time into the game. Got to be too much and was part of the reason OTR dropped from world league.

They came from a farm team. It's not the same as taking an expansion all the way up.

Agreed. That's exactly what the Wife Carriers will be doing.

The thing is that most good agents that know how to help run a team.... Already run a team. Lol. So that's why mergers are a good answer in my opinion. It allows groups of management to work together on one team and share that responsibility. It also gives management a chance to have fun again and prevents burnout.

Niners have alot of the same crew from season 6. Lost my DC a few seasons back and I'm a 1 man show for the last 4 seasons. The OC/DC stuff can get a pain but it really fucks me up with recruiting. So I end up having to spend hours gameplanning to try and stop a squad who has better dots. I'm pouring my heart out here! You better listen!

Never been a big merger fan myself... but this was either merge or quit playing GLB really...Our teams and agents have been together for 10+ seasons on 5+ teams, and neither of us have the time to run 3 WL teams, or whatever, anymore...
Admire the owners who do everything themselves, but its often those guys who gets burned out....I hope you'll find one or more to help you out Niners, otherwise the Hood is going to recruit all the players
And to get this thread back on track.... I totally forgot about the Sea Wasps ... did very well in the playoffs last season.. could easily do great again this season.
