I never really brought it up though. While sometimes maddening, TSE isn't quite some huge asshole and I'd feel e-bullyish if I had posted a bunch of his retarded oldschool argument threads. Plus like 99.9% of people wouldn't know wtf I was talking about anyhow.

My retarded argument threads were always the result of people with vastly inferior intelligence and poor logic that tried to assert that they were smarter than me and that I was wrong about things I was right about. 99% of the content of all those threads was from really really dumb and highly disrespectful people that dont' really count as their content was often garbage and misinformation. People just felt jealous and threatened by me as they do in any place. It's the human condition to get defensive when somebody appears to be better than you in any way, whether bigger or faster or smarter, and their chosen defense mechanism is very predictable just as we have seen in here from time to time. They resort to mudslinging and crap posts to try and discredit my brilliance with a huge volume of noisy crap. Of all the forums I have ever been a part of, the About room was easily the worst room of the worst caliber of people I have ever seen in any type of forum on the net. A horribly mismanaged site by some very incompetent people, and a very bad class of people in general. And that site could have been arguably the biggest football forum on the net. The About company is a really screwed up organization and has no process or care to protect and advance their own business interests. They had a good opportunity to get a huge stranglehold of the market with their vast network of forums and resources and overall power.

No chance I go searching for a thread that is like 5 years old in about's crapbag search engine, but I'm pretty sure this was after you argued that since the Lions just drafted Kevin Jones and Mike Williams, they have the best potential of any offense in the nfl with rogers/harrington/williams/jones/williams.

Then a huge argument ensued where people tried to explain to you that having the potentially best offense not the same as having a bunch of high first round picks (some of whom seem to be busting out). No I'm not quitting the game. I just won't have any players or teams or play the game. I'm just going to lurk and hope one day a game unfolds out of this. I figure there's still a chance that by season 30 it could change into something different. And yet not at any point did any one player complain about the situation. From about.com. Me and nymike ran the fantasy team-building-draft thing. superpunk, spizzunk, etc.

I've always thought that TSE was just like scotty, and a Lions fan to boot, I just didn't know the internets were so small.

Yeah that was a sad time. It was so obviously simple of a hypothetical and the lame brains there couldn't wrap there heads around it. And no it wasn't to try a 99 yard FG, it was a fake play designed to run out the clock, and required very specific conditions to be in place, namely being on the 1 inch line and having a very small amount of time left. It's a gorgeous play design and the most perfect play that you could invent for that situation. There are VERY few times in football where you can say that about a certain play and have a guarantee that your logic is sound. That's why I made up that example on that site, is because i found a lot of these bizarre theoretical situations that make for interesting discussion, and I started with that one planning like 10 more threads like it, and I never bothered for Round 2 when I saw the feedback of all the classless and dumb people on that site. It was really sad to see. Instead of learning something new about football and trying to enhance their minds, they decided to throw crap at it and pretend like it wouldn't work, when it was an infallible play design. the best you could possibly design for that specific situation. It's a very unique situation and no other way out of it with higher odds of success.
