Not really. The plan is that the boost will wear away as you level up. This means that unless you actually start building a passing QB, he will get worse. If you build a passing QB, he should get better or at least stay the same.

But you will also need catching out of your WRs.

As the OC for the team that has that QB, I can say a couple of things about it.
In the first game (against CPU), he went 11/13.
In the second game (against near-CPU), he went 20/25.
In the third game (against a pretty good team), he went 5/9.

To put it in perspective, the first game had a reasonable offense set. The second two games had him throwing to all the wrong receivers (blocking or speed guys). And he still had one very good performance and one reasonably good performance.

The first two completion percentages are way too friggin high for a guy that has the same throwing/confidence/strength/vision as an untrained punter, regardless of his level. Now, it appears that the passing boost has been toned down slightly in the last couple of games, or else the difference between a level 1 human CB and a level 1 CPU CB is very significant. Either way, the third performance looks somewhat more reasonable, but it's still too good for a guy with no relevant stat over 10. The boost should allow QBs who put some points into throwing/str/vis/conf to hit targets, but it shouldn't be turning level 1 running QBs into a 1999-2002 Rich Gannon or a modern day Drew Brees.

Anyway, I'm not calling for (further) reductions to the boost at this time. I say let the season play out and see how it looks over the course of the season in both pee wee and in the cap-14 leagues.

What's wrong with a crappy QB that hasn't been developed yet throwing a crappy pass??? Boosting defeats the purpose of building. I think this change is ridiculous as I do with most of Bort's changes.

Well most of Bort's changes are influenced by a couple of handsful of people.

I mean sure team owners were dropping like flies (selling teams back and walking away from peewee), and the league eventually would have died, but I don't really care about that as I'm happy to wait 8 seasons till my dot is level 50-60 to see him catch or throw a completed pass and have some level of competition.

All these changes do is make peewee football fun again, and encourage these pathetic people who refuse to worship the higher level leagues and the people who got here first.

FYP.

If you just want to build a player and don't care about his performance that's what d-leagues are for. Now for those of us that fork out a HELL of a lot of money on flex for peewee football, we expect it to be a fun/competitive and non one dimensional game.

Pretty much.
