I'm fine with pool play.

Edit: I would think that pool play would be better. It gives teams more scrimmages. It's better than losing and going out in the first round.

Just do 32 teams. Cut the last couple teams to sign up and they can be first alternates if teams drop out or forfeit due to lack of flex points.
