Pulling one or two players from other teams is Recruiting Ice, not combining/merging/colluding.

So what, precisely, is the cut off point between recruiting and combining/merging/colluding. If the two are different, then surely there is a specific point in which one becomes the other.

Sorry man, I never got my copy of the unwritten rule book on how to treat teams that merged with other teams yet didn't fully gut. If you have one laying around shoot me over a copy.

Oh, so it's acceptable to stat pad against teams that merge with other teams but don't gut?

Guess Haliblack is off the hook.

Maybe I am off base here but I would be willing to bet that atleast 75% of the teams here in the WL have at some point combined with another team to make their team better.

I would say that's an understatement.

If you consider not having the exact same team as the one you fielded in season one to be combining with other teams.

Pulling one or two players from other teams is Recruiting Ice, not combining/merging/colluding.

Then I guess it's an overstatement and he was completely wrong.

One way or another, 75% was just a horrible statistic to throw out there :\

It is if your not setting up BOTH TEAMS AI...see that's the difference. I'm sure you already knew this BUT I didn't set BFM's game plan against Monmouth when we beat them.

From the comments I have heard, I would say when 2 or more teams get together, compare rosters and figure out what dot's would make ONE great team and either weakening or gutting the other squads involved, that is a merger.

Also, when teams combine their names with the teams that they merge with it is usually a bit of a hint that some type of merger has happened.

Can't really say a team has no integrity when you don't have any of your own, imo.

In all honesty, we knew that BFM sucked after their first two games. We didn't think they sucked that bad. Remember this isn't a gutted team. They still have WL Leveled dots. They are just poorly built WL leveled dots. So while we didn't Take our foot off their throat while we played them, we also didn't ask them to let us pad our stats against them.

okay belichick we all know you wanted to statpad drago

I must have missed the rule that said we had stop scoring when we were leading by a certain amount

Well, there's an unwritten one stating that you don't keep trying to stockpile points when the game is already well in-hand.

I lol'd.

Well, when you're recruiting from anything but free agency, doesn't one team tend to benefit more than the other? I mean shit, BFM at least got players out of the deal, Gart could've snatched up the good players from BFM with a wink and a cash trade (or even let their contracts expire)

As for the whole naming thing, that's a pretty fucking weak argument. Does that mean Haliblack could change their name to the Monifax Evil Monkplosion and get you guys banned for colluding with them?

Ice your trying but your failing. We ran our normal AI against their normal AI and the score was what it was. Gart set the AI's for both teams. Nothing similar about the situations.

I'm missing your point on the first thing. Other than Merging with a team, how else do you recruit than through free agency?

The Name part was a bit of sarcasm, pointing out the fact that some of hali is claiming they don't merge with teams YET they combine names with the teams that they bring in every season.

"Other than merging with a team how else do you recruit than through free agency?" is quite possibly the least coordinated sentence I've read today, and you've offered up a lot of contenders in that area, mister.

I usually try some sort of grammar troll too when I don't want to answer a question.
