Currently #2 in receiving yardage in the LEAGUE!!!

I hate to brag, but apparently my TE is gonna be mediocre soon. So I figure take advantage while it lasts.

some people would rather peak in seasons 7-10... rather than 4-7.

Yeah, I'm glad to see my TE having one of his best seasons in his plateau year.

As somebody said, situation makes a big difference.

So by being one of the greatest during 4-7, I could sign to one of the best teams to ensure a great run in 7-10.

Totally not true... but I guess if you want to sign below your competitive level than sure.

Am I guaranteeing that you won't make it to the Pro's? No. But If you want a player that will dominate in the Pro's, you have to choose an approach where your player will be at its best in the latter part of its career.

sign below my competition level? Not sure what that means. I boost my TE every season. No slowbuilding here.

My TE will have superior speed and agility compared to your builds in Pro so don't count him out. Does a 3rd cap speed TE really scare anybody in Pro? And it takes you 9 seasons to get there? Now I see why you need so much catching. Cause he's rarely gonna get open. You probably gonna need Go 2 Guy to get the ball.

Some say "catching" to the 2nd cap. Some say to the 3rd cap. Doing either is a nice way to start the build and will take advantage of natural level-gains. You will NOT be an amazing dot early in your player's career--you'll catch bunches and bunches of short and uninteresting passes. But you're setting up a nice foundation and can add the bells and whistles to make the player more interesting later on in your build.

What is your end goal, because I know of a TE with 122 speed (126 with track star) and 80 agility and 70 catching that only had 535 receiving yards this season, and the standard is going to get higher as defensive players will keep getting better.

Too much speed

I'm actually really happy with how my newer TE is working out. I think I made a small mistake in not capping strength sooner, but for the most part he's doing pretty well.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1308701&playoffs=0

Considering most of his games were on the wrong side of 100 point blowouts against players 10-20 levels higher and he was clearly the second receiving option.

Had a ton of drops as can be expected with a lack of carrying/strength/conf and only a couple VAs but was more effective than I expected.

my goal is 130+ speed with 75+ agility.

stats for other TE's aren't really applicable. my team is willing to throw it. I turned down quite a few other 16-0 type teams who never throw to TE's. If I went there, I would have had crap stats this season too.

I just had 111 catches and 9 drops. 6+ of those drops were LB's knocking it loose. I see this high catching with no jumping a bad strategy. You work on speed so late you have no value until the very end. I still think my build will be better when used by a good OC.

Fact is the defender has first chance at the ball if he's close to the ball. If you have no separation, balls are gonna be knocked down lots. 500-600 yards at TE in Pro is completely average. Stop thinking that is a good season.

My TE had 894 in Pro. However, the same build in season 14/15 probably would struggle to get 300 because both offensive and defensive players in Pro leagues will be better. The average player covering your TE is likely to look something like

70 strength
125 speed
80 agility
70 tackling
61 jumping
50 stamina
70 vision
60 confidence

Is that a real LB Build? Cause I am familiar with many a Pro LB build and those #'s seem way too high to be realistic. I was born at night, but not last night.

But 900 yards in Pro is definatley a good TE. Touche'
