We can make this a tard free(for the most part) place with or without the old timers. If the old posters come back great, if not oh well we will move on without them. It's not even flaming/trolling/trash talking ....it's when it gets done in every thread. Basically just fixing what haole pointed out in his post would be a great start. I think the majority of people would rather have a bunch of quality threads with a few flame/troll/trash talk threads instead of the other way around. I'm pretty sure of that actually, at least the people i've talked to in PMs or in private forums seem to be on that page and thats a pretty solid handful of agents from SEAPL.

The real difference is the world league in that this used to be the top of the rung. Now most of the people have the goal to make the WL and leave this behind.
See the real problem is this used to be the end of the line and the top notch GM's used to stick around. The Board turned less into a flame war and more into a community as people planted long term roots and become friends. You typically don't shit where you live so you saw less tardation and a core group that could control the board by being part of the "in" crowd.
Much of this used to exist when only one team was promoted at a time. I know for me in the SEA AA#4 when I started and this was true we had a lot of early tard fights but eventually came to respect and like the other owners and the tarding backed off. Many of us are still in touch and gm or have players on each other's teams. The new promotion system screwed that in the lower leagues and the emergence of the WL is doing that to this board. The more turnover this league sees the worse the board will get for those that want a tard free board.

With any game where there is competition and egos, your going to have people strongly voicing their own opinions, and putting others down as well. I have no problem with either, what I have always had a problem with .is how they do it.
personal attacks such as name calling or the like is ridiculous, that is my prob with some in GLB. There is no love loss between me and some others, and I have enjoyed rubbing their noses in defeat, while they have made personal attacks instead.
Quite a few have been up here for many seasons, while other have struggled their whole glb time just to reach it here. I have made many friends on my way up here, and have made some enemies as well. I play to have fun and be as competitive as possible.
Bangers will most likely be a one season and done up here, so while we are here we will have a good time, win or lose.
