Yes, the results part is important (they prob just clicked your profile to get your team id), your in the tourney so they obviusly took notice of your PM.
If you don't PM Tournaments the results you will get booted from the tournament, which no one wants (as there will be enough forfeits as it is
).

Send the scrimmage offer, if the opponent wont accept (after you've PM'd him to explain its part of the official tournament) then PM Tournaments that your scheduled opposition will not accept the scrimmage offer (this should cover your ass).
