There will be two, possibly three CPU teams in the playoffs in that conference.

heh, you were in DARPA's league though (C9)... If you could have beaten the human teams in your conference we (or one of the other good teams in our conference) would have provided you with an exciting challenge in the league finals, and if you had kept the team you probably would have been pretty much guaranteed a spot in silver next season where there are very few CPU teams.

We always knew under this system the first season of owning a new team would feel kind of slow due to the practical realities of the copper leagues. That's what tournaments are for though.

...and DoRD is spending flexies this season, many of our players already have custom. Darpa isn't, but it was always intended as a testing team, so you can't make like I only want this cause i have 2 teams or something, I'm on record with this position before darpa was even created.

and as you mention, your argument can easily be turned around on you, because you have a team of agents with enough money to boost and custom everyone, so you have a vested interest in keeping boosting and customing around because 90% of teams can't afford to do it systematically and it insures you a place among the best teams just by buying it before even having to build right or strategise.

I know that's not entirely fair, but neither was what you said about me and DoRD / DARPA. I just think no boosting would make a fairly level playing field even more level and take the money out of the sport. If you don't want that, then ok, but I still think its pretty obviously a true statement.

I'm not saying you don't and certainly not saying you shouldn't. In fact, I'd say whatever you're doing this season is working pretty damn well hahaha. I'm just saying, in MY opinion, it would be cooler if you didn't have to, mostly because the number of teams who are "competitive" would be a much longer list. All you'd need (hah all?) is good agents and good game-planning, instead of good agents, good game-planning, and a pile of cash. Its this artificial monetary limiter on the number of competitive teams that annoys me. That's what the rest of GLB is for IMO. Hell, leave the boosting but make it free to do so somehow so every player in peewee can boost with no penalty, and I'd be basically OK with that too. Its the unevenness based on money that gets me.

Its never going to happen on any level where boosting is not allowed. The original idea had a no boosting level 1 league. We are just lucky Bort was kind enough to give us pee wees after 2 seasons of begging for it.

I pretty much agree with this, but just cause I am pretty sure something will not happen doesn't mean I can't be in favor of it

I like your views on these 'issues' Redwin

I chuck my 'tanties' about how I feel that boosting/custom Eqs take away the 'even playing field' ...and Bort has set it up like this(different time schedules and allocations,lvl8eqs), so that there is this 'imbalance', and because of this, teams are more inclined to 'get the edge' by boosting and buying custom eqs to supplement for that<.<
guys this is just how I feel about it ...I'm not saying that it is wrong(even though I feel that it is), but I just want a fair contest whenever I encounter another reasonably well managed team, without having to offload huge amounts of flex points to achieve that
