agree somewhat but at the same time... natural gains can help your build a LOT. I two capped one of the main attributes early on in my LB and now it's well over the 3rd cap (working towards 4 cap) and I haven't touched it since like lvl 7 or 8.
It depends on where you usually stick skill points into attributes. I like to go late 20's/early 30's, but the first attribute for an LB is a bitch to get to that level quickly if your Intensive training.
Originally posted by ultfrisbee I'll create a MLB and want him to be effective at higher levels (dont need 30 speed to burn peewee leagues). What do you guys think about this plan based on a continuous training chain?
Train vision/agility 1st cap vision Train agility/speed 2nd cap agility Train speed/tackling 2nd cap speed Train tackling/strength 2nd cap tackling 1st cap strength Train stamina/confidence 2nd cap vision 3rd cap agility 3rd cap speed 2nd cap strength
I like this, and think that this a good system. Though, I'd go with raising agility first. I still don't know why some attributes aren't linked, speed/confidence, Speed/strength, Strength/agility, Vision/carrying spring to mind.

vision first is actually a VERY good option for MLB's. I almost think it is the best option.
It links from vision->agility->speed->tackle->strength->jumping->stamina->confidence etc

It does seem that way doesn't it. I'm tempted when I retire some players soon to try this out. It would mean that you could see and then change direction, and change direction, but then go really slow

not slow. Maybe slow for your first two seasons... but come the third season. You won't be slow.
i'm planning on building 2 ILBs to work in tandem. LILB will be strength based and the RILB vision based. i liked what i've read here. soi might jus use hese mhods.
RILB (or MLB in nickel situations) Originally posted by Coltzilla I like to go in this order
LILB will be blitzed heavily against the run so strength+agility are needed to shed block and avoid pancakes. tackling is last on this list as his primary job isn't to stop the run but to create space for others around him to make the plays - ie the OLBs,SS and RILB
Originally posted by Bacon Nator why not go 73 on more than just one stat? Too much SPs? I was thinking about going 73 on agil/speed, maybe even str/tackling
LBs have too many different stats they need to raise to be effective to take more than one to 73 in most build paths.

for a blitzing ROLB thats what i'm going for...but for a MLB that wouldn't be good. I am trying a strength/tackling 73/73 right now for a MLB.

Where are you putting your equipment? I was going to put it all into speed, but maybe str/tack/agil is better?
