Some even seem to understand less then even the newest players of the game..*cough*DL*cough*

I have a theory for Catching and Sure Hands...

I have a TE with 72 catching, who has way more drops last season (18) than our WRs who have about 60 catching (~5 drops each) even tho he didn't get that much more targets.

So it seems like what catching does is raise your catching radius, so you have a chance to get a catching roll on a pass that for another player would just be out of reach and incomplete. This shows up as a higher number of drops, even tho your actual compl % is higher as well.

So in this case, Sure Hands would be best for players with very high catching, because they are able to get catching rolls on more passes, and with a higher catching roll would more benefit from getting a second roll.

can anyone confirm if this makes sense, or has been confirmed by knowledgeable sources?

are those TE drops knocked loose? That's an issue with strength + carrying..

no, not knocked loose, those don't count as drops. he actually had 18 drops on the stat sheet. on some of them you can actually see how they are relatively far away from him and would normally just be incompletions but he manages to make a juggling attempt and then drops them.

you may be right. in which case, does Sure Hands give you another chance to roll a catch after it's knocked loose? I know it can be intercepted after it's knocked loose, and I've even seen play where other receivers catch it after it's knocked loose.

If you had a choice with a possesion WR what would you chose first?

YAC or Slippery, having solid success with short to medium passing and I don't plan on going deep when I can get 7-8 yards a pop.

Sure hands is the worst VA on earth and doesn't help vs KL balls...

I read this whole thing, and I am wondering if you should go all into 1 VA or if you should stack?

Is
Mr. Reliable VA
Possession WR VA
Clutch VA
Ball Hawk VA
or
Sure Hands VA the best overall, or do you stack them?

I haven't read alot about Clutch, but I truly think that it works, just through watching game tape. Look, I am no genius, but I do want to learn, so could anyone please help?

Thanks,
Naka
