You guys also need to remember that 3 or 4 seasons ago, most of the teams barely had players in the 50's. Now if you don't have players in the 60's, you can't compete.

Sure about that? WeŽll see next season how our young additions (down to level 46 right now) will do.

Next season with all the additions and subtractions will not be the same as any other season, especially in Alpha.

Will be interesting to see how you guys fare with that, we probably went too young too quickly last season and along with the chemistry hit it did not really do us too many favors.

We only replaced the positions we had to due to retirement and guys moving on. For most positions we brought in young guys in the hope to keep them on the team longer. Otherwise we would have to recruit the same positions again next season and I think thereŽll be enough recruiting going on anyway. However, we already got our first season 12 committment
.
Unfortuntely our farm team is only 2 seasons old and I donŽt want to give up our WEPL spot so I have to go through recruiting. ItŽs a mess but at least this season it worked out fine, only 1 position missing.

Jay, you did better than me whilest I re-worked the Scorgasms. There is no one here who knows your issue better from experience.
The question is; did you do enough LAST season to make your changes THIS season substantial? Do you have enough of a roster together (and access to enough FAs) to be competitive?
Honestly, with ALL the changes this off season (build capping finally having an effect, everyone in roster shifts, the WPL et al), I honestly don't know WHO will be bosses next season. I think Jay is good people.
I'll sign it, but if it doesn't work, he might even be back next season
I have rebuilt the team and am short a FS and SS. The team will be 100% better next season. Whether it is in WEPL or AAA remains to be seen.
Good.
From personal experience, that shit is tough as hell. I had a bunch of terrific players on my team and still coudn't muster a win.

No offense, but you got beat by the artic tigers, you probably didn't belong here anyway.
And the 4 teams projected to come up from AAA #1 Alpha would kick your team to the curb.
No offense to the team owner, as it seems your a great guy to work for, but really, I would think your players would welcome a season of winning after 2 seasons of winning 6 games total. Go down, try to beat the piss out of AAA (which I don't think will be easy for you) and then come back with higher fan support and a rejuvenated squad.
I am a player on the Vols. I've been with the team since the beginning. We will continue to build and make the changes necessary to be successful. Our goal is to win at the highest level, not to go back down and win in AAA. If we go back down that is fine. We will work our way back up again. If you haven't played in the WEPL then you have no idea what you're talking about and no basis upon which to make comparisons.
As far as underlined portion that is just a weak attempt at being inflammatory.
I wasn't being inflammatory, I was stating a fact. Jay and I are just having a conversation about this situation, and have remained acting like adults.
Fair enough. It seemed like you were just trying to get a rise with that comment, but it seems like Jay agrees that it was all part of the back and forth.
My bad.
I was a bit offended by it at first but he could be right. The thing is there is no way to prove that any of those teams can beat us. Can't really say it is a fact because it can't be proved. The Dublin Druids are a great team and also the team we beat to win the Alpha AAA title. They more than likely could beat us now but they can also easily finish 14th to last in WEPL next season. This league is that tough. Then again this league will look totally different come day 1 season 11. No Bonn, Rage, WWW, and so on. Turin before they gutted could have won AAA and they finished 14th. Belfast at 6-10 could have also won AAA. Of course this is just my opinion but I am positive that the jump from AAA to WEPL is a bigger jump than from any other league to another.
Here are how teams have faired the last 2 seasons off promotion to WEPL.
Vols: 4-12 season 9, 2-14 season 10.
Normandy Invasion: Won WEAAA2 in Season 8, 8-8 Season 9, 14-2 season 10 (Awesome)
Barcelona Crusaders 1st season in WEPL 1-15 only win was against a fellow promoted team
Roman Legion: 0-16
South Riding Stingrays 6-10. good for a first shot at WEPL
Paris Penguins- 6-10 Also good for a first try
Arctic Tigers- 4-12
Porto People Eaters- Owned AAA for a few seasons and finally moved up and finished 7-9
Manchester Devils: Won WEAAA1 and then went 7-9 here.
Sevilla Naranjas 6-10
So out of the 10 promoted teams the last 2 seasons only the Normandy Invasion have made the playoffs and that was in their second season. If that doesn't show you how tough this league is I don't know what will.
Portland went 13-3 and advanced to the conf title game vs Bonn is season 1 in the Pros.

Not saying he the Vols don't belong. I just don't think it happens. Sets a bad precedent and the last thing I'm sure Bort wants is multiple teams questioning the merit of teams being promoted to try and remain in their current league and avoid relegation.

This. I believe you are right, we will find out soon. At least we get another shot at a gold AAA trophy and Normandy won't be there to stop us.
