Then if you get in, whats a sub par performance under 500? some teams are going to loose. Lets say there are 5 teams that go under 500. Then you have to find 5 back to back winners to take those teams places? So lets say there are 33 teams that fit the criteria, who gets left out?
crims i think maybe you should re-read the OP a couple times, it sounds like you're not completely understanding the proposal.
If next year is your first season then yes you would need to win back to back championships to get to pro by your team's 3rd season. If you win a championship this season (10), then you are likely to get in pro next season since it will be the first season its run. A sub par performance is the bottom 4 teams from each pro conference, so 8 pro teams (25%) each season will get dropped back down to minors, and the 8 minor (feeder) league champions will get promoted into those 8 pro slots. Brand new teams will likely go into 16 sub-feeder leagues that will probably be riddled with CPU's and slowbuilders not interested in much competition.
It will probably be easy for any semi-serious new team to win a sub feeder league and make it to the feeder league (minors). Winning the Feeder league championship to secure a pro league slot the next season should be significantly more competitive, but only 32 teams will be pro at any one time, so competition is pretty much the whole idea.
