Well im the DC for and Ahoda is the owner and Matt is the OC and NONE of us are considering letting the team down.

I know JP, but other people don't know that. Not saying godgib is innocent or should be let off the hook, I'm just saying that there is sometimes reasonable doubt although reading the thread, this doesn't seem to be a 1 time deal.

Jrry we got word from a friend that he PMed agents from her team to saying the same shit.

Ill admit if it was just BDR maybe it was misinformation

BUT 2 teams now thats not in his favor of misinformation.

The SSS's example doesn't even really count because they were looking like a team that was going to gut.

All it takes is 1 agent to start a gutting rumor. I could pm a few owners right now that I had inside info that Bonn is gutting and I can guarantee you his players would have several pm's by tomorrow even though I have nothing to do with the team.

Which is very stupid and for the people that even spread them a dumbass and losers probably because they suck so they want to make the good teams suck to.

We actually didn't confirm we were going to gut until after we were relegated; however I can understand more so since it was an inactive team with contracts expiring - however it was specifically said that he would like to sign anonymous player in season 9 if we were to fold...

Apart from this whole saga, I agree with most people on here; Godgib is a class guy and is very noble in the WEPL forum.

Godgib just PM'd me apologizing. Issue resolved as far as I'm concerned.

Wow, gone for a while and I suddenly I get some recognition (not the one I want though). However, here is the story:

I misinterpreted some information of a player in the Player looking for teams section. He basically said that his team will be folding and he is looking for a new team. This guy was GM of the Berlin Divine Rights and I didn´t realise his ownly player is member of a different team. I already wrote my apologies to the team owner, I´d never try to get someone out of his current contract. People that know me also know that I´m a straight forward guy not trying to fool anyone.

It´s true that I´m approaching players that are on teams getting gutted but I´ll never base my recruiting pitch on a lie. And it´s true that I did the same with the Monarchs last season. I just have to try that approach since once the good players are out there on the forum our chances to sign them are ~0.1%.

well, I'm the DC for the Grizzlies and know godgib in RL and can assure everyone that he's not trying to pull any dirty tricks.

I can understand that Ahoda was a bit furious but afterall it was just a misunderstanding on godgib's part.

however, I don't quite understand why The_SSS is sharing this worthless information - hell, your team DID disband last season, didn't it?! so where's the point? doesn't really backup the "he's giving out false information"-theory imo.

Yes we did disband but we hadn't even thought about the idea until after we were officially relegated which was after we played Graz, no Godgib didn't give out false information but sending out PMs about signing for season 9 if we were to gut just seems a bit cheap, maybe thats just me and if so, then I apologise.

And again, maybe its just me but I thought what I said was relevant to the topic in hand, so therefore it was hardly "worthless" was it.

probably another case of "the agent put word on the street" but that's just a guess. ok, maybe "worthless" was inappropriate...

btw, I like the Punter-XP-strategy on the Monarchs - how many punts did he average per game this season?

Dunno, I should probably check it out - can't believe a punter and team full of CPU players managed to get a win today against a team which had a level 55 human QB.

Monarchs are just looking forward to season 11 in AA when our farm players move over.
