Lol at this thread becoming a TSE bashing thread.

That is such a season 7 thing to do.

I said but oh well! doesn't that make it alright? ok ok. Whatever. You did make a good point about the shit way the points are at higher levels. It would be awesome if they could have done something to make higher level players have more bonuses. Since we don't level up for shit! I gain 9 levels with a new guy in 1 season. With my old guy I gain 1... DAMNIT!

Yeah, I keep hoping that one day I will log onto GLB to find that the level up system and VA/SA system is completely wiped and replaced with something entertaining and interesting to motivate the players and make the game more fun to progress through.

VAs have helped a lot IMO, but players still get boring around level 40.

I don't care for the entire VA setup, it was the right idea in that it was necessary to interject another variable and item into the game, but it wasn't dynamic enough or creative enough. Really they are just like SAs but adding a few more of them, so it was just a weak extension of the SA concept. And then the problem was compounded in that 80%+ of the VAs were lame or not well defined, we have enough of this mystery junk factored into our builds already. I grade the VA addition as a D-, only reason it doesn't completely flunk is that it at least gave us something instead of nothing, but just too many negatives with the whole setup.

This feels weird to say...

But I completely agree with you.

It's optional to equip! Didn't you play RPGs before where sometimes you find an item with a cool effect but it also has a negative effect that makes it more valuable to just get rid of?

Ok lol.

Yeah I am still shocked and stunned with where GLB is today, I never would have guessed the game would look like it does, you go back to Seasons 2=4 and there seemed to be plans to add new elements and cogs into the game each season and I just thought wow, the possibilities are limitless with all the cool new add-ons and options and toys and features, etc. etc. etc. I was expecting this to be an entirely different game in the long run just from running things through my imagination of what could have been.

I agree, I wish Bort would start working on another server then after he feels the decline was tested enough on us...he wipes everything, gives us 70% of flex back and we start over or he loads players on the other server and we go from there...you know he would make the sim so it didn't have 1 million band aids, poorly thought out VAs and maybe have a different system for leveling and more attributes. That would make me quite happy but I doubt it will ever happen.

How long do you guys think GLB is going to be around? I mean, bort has to keep paying for the servers and keep updating and creating things. Do you think it's gonna even be around a year from now? It will be like season 18 and we will have been into the decline for awhile. I don't know. Just wondering.

For me personally, unless there begins to be SOME consistency from season to season I won't be around. The #1 thing by FAR from my standpoint is chasing the moving target from season to season.

I was wondering if bort would even keep GLB running for longer than summer 2010. I'm not sure it has the superlongterm staying power
