i do like that percy harvin is expected to elevate the vike's game to a new level, while every other wr drafted this year, bey, crabtree, nicks, etc. are more realistically expected to hopefully catch 20 passes, learn the playbook, and not break anything.

Snaza his arm might be fine but his decision making skills still blow. and who is throwing the ball to again? bernard berrian? right... parcy harvin... yeah about that... The Nfc north is like garuda, 3 teams that just can't put all the pieces together.

Snaza, the giants had more rushing yards than any other team... not exatly what i would call average...

I just think a ton of people want to deny Favre being good and want to point at the negatives as much as possible while trying to ignore the positives he brings...his decision making skills are hugely what make him great...it is the pressure upon him that forces him to make shitty plays...and that might still hold true in MN...but AP might make things easier upon him. Having him behind center alone will make AP and Chester better players. You can't deny that. It is kind of funny as well. When Javon Walker left GB for the $...everyone was like who is Favre going to throw to now other than Donald Driver. Sure didn't take long to make starts of several other players. and Javon Walker was exposed for what he really was....a joke. A healthy Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian are all Favre needs with the MN running game....they are perfect for what Favre brings to the table...bombs and slants.

hmmm...i think a healthy EJ Henderson and the Vikings defensive line might be a pretty nice positive for them...could just be me thinking that tho.

Walter Sobchak:
So you have no frame of reference here, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...
The Dude:
(interrupting) Walter, Walter, what's the point, man?
Walter Sobchak:
There's no reason - here's my point, dude, there's no fucking reason why these two...
Donny:
Yeah, Walter, what's your point?

i think its actually kind of sad that people feel Favre isnt a step up from Tarvaris or Sage. The move to Favre completely changes ones defense against MN. This is best case scenario for Adrian Peterson.

Favre is a step up from Sage or Tarvaris, its just that both those 2 are so bad that anything would be a step up.

We should probably wait and see until Favre gets with the team first. They still have to get Brett to agree with a performance based contract. They still have to see if his arm will even hold up or if its finished. Still alot of IFs here.

Packers still win the division this season though, Vikes will battle with the Bears for 2nd and the Lions will pick up a couple wins but still finish last.

kind of surprised so many people like the Packers for the division this season. New defensive scheme, still a lot of if's on the oline and an aging secondary with some young talent, but not great talent. The running game is still kind of a question mark. Pass game of course is still there, but that alone won't win a ton of ball games. Would be nice to see...but im not counting on anything yet.

Well i am a Packers fan and have been for the last almost 20 years.

The Defensive scheme will be fine. We've got one of the better guys to teach it in Capers, throw in a few ex Steelers for position coaches, 2 great pickups in the draft to fill the needs of the D. Just need to stay healthy this season. Secondary may be aging but still have 2 of the better CBs in the league, still waiting for more of the young guys to step up but Tramon Williams is showing that he might be the guy. Nick Collins coming off a Probowl season, Bigby is back. Running game will be fine. Oline will be the biggest question mark, hopefully guys like Jamon Merideth step up.

will have to see the new DT in action...havent had a top pick Dlineman work out for us in a long ass time. im still not sold on the LB we did take in the draft...but im sure he will be alright...i just feel the other 2 we could have had at the spot were better. Harris is just starting to lose it...Woodson might have to make the move to safety soon. Collins is solid, Bigby is dr jekyll and mr hyde out there, but when hes on hes on. I know we brought in some of the best to teach the defense...but it doesnt mean that it translates quickly. Still a lot of if's out there. We might be alright...but i think MN is right now a step ahead of us especially if Favre comes back healthy. Chicago still needs a WR. Lions still need a team.
