Things are working correctly when customers are having such a great time that they want to spend money to make and upgrade players as opposed to wanting to retire useless players that have been nerfed into boredom.

GLB should listen to this guy.

Haha. Remember in season 1 (or maybe 2) when mods said to work on blocking for dlineman because "blocking attribute increases their knowledge of blocking and helps them break more". Either bort or some other mod said that a year ago. Funny stuff

Yeah, and everyone was putting SP's into tackling for the O-line. I never really understood either of those mindsets...

Remember back when it was FUN to own a DE, and it was FUN to own a LOT so you could try and stop a good DE, and you used to spend MONEY to try and build your DE to get even more sacks, and you used to spend MONEY to try and make your LOT better built to stop that DE from killing your QB, and you used to game plan on how to deal with that DE, and you used to game plan on how to deal with what the offense was going to do to try and negate your DE?

Glad they got rid of that aspect of the game.....

Remember when this game was fun?...

Ahh, the memories of season 2-4

Well then nothing will ever be fixed, because someone will always be displeased with something.

THAT mindset is the problem!!! I never said things are working correctly when nobody complains. People will ALWAYS complain. When the masses are quiet and spending money, even if the vocal minority is screaming, is there really a problem? I really think GLB struggles with this concept.

Well just make them really slow and overall pretty bad and they might get some hurries.

basically if you make your DE worse, he should do better

Oddly, this makes sense in a purely logical manner.

But "displeased with something" does not = "want to retire all players of a certain position".

Isn't it phenomenal how even after hazy posts a serious test that shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that DEs are getting assfucked, Bort still won't fix it?

They're already fixed. Bort has it at where he wants it to be in terms of pressure.

Voltron, do you understand what the word "FIXED" means? Being at where Bort wants them =/= Fixed, that just means that Bort is for screwing over DEs to keep offenses happy thus throwing off the competitive balance of the game.

Fixed means it's working how Bort intended it to work.

Do you have any specific post by Bort where he says that or are you just talking out of your ass?

It is tough to tell sometimes.

read the first page of this thread and decided to look. my thoughts before looking at stats were that the best DEs should average about 1.5 sacks per game.

I looked in Oceania AAA2.

I found this DE: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=423735 who's got 10 sacks against non-gutted teams. So, in 5 games he's got 10 sacks. 2 sacks/game. even better than I thought.

And this DE: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=340270 has 4 sacks in 5 games against non-gutted teams. 0.8 sacks every game.

So, there you go. the top 2 sack guys in this league get a healthy amount. What more should you expect?

Remember, the vote was to make this game as realistic as possible and that sack frequency is realistic. I agree there's a lot that's unrealistic right now. But, I also would say that offense sells tickets (flex).

Instead of a typical trolltron response, you should have linked the game. Same amount of time, much better response. If you need anyone to teach you how to be a mod feel free to PM me.

"Sacks numbers are fine because they're realistic, offensive numbers are fine because it's fun to have unrealistic offensive stats."
