In general, the FS is the fastest player, and the CB's are the quickest players.

This is untrue and rather ridiculous to believe. The FS is rarely, if ever, the fastest player on a team. Keep building crap FS's though.

1: There's a difference between being fast and being quick.

2: I don't think any of my players have crap builds.

Again, to better clarify my above comments, I will explain below. I should give RAPB a chance to amend his post first though.

Julius Hibbert is a SS.

Tom Sizemore is a FS. He has fewer tackles, many more missed tackles last season, but more INT's. Not sure how those missed tackles hurt the team but this comparison is in no way indicative that his build is better than Samus.

Interceptor I is a SS.

LastMan Standing has one season in a Pro league, which was last year. The year before was an AAA league. Also, he had more missed tackles as well but more tackles. PD's were similar. I also find this player suspect because he has one of the games designers as a GM. The possible "testing conspiracy" which I will not attest to might be something to consider.

In conclusion, these four players of comparison have made no distinctive "proof" as to them being better. So, I don't know what else to say.

Yea, but you come off sounding like a douche. I just made a simple comment, and you tell me my FS is a crap build. Sure, you have the right to say whatever you want, but you just sound like an ass clown. Not saying you are, but you're sounding like one.

Why the SAs so early and non-capbuild, UD? The high catching is a cool thing to try, but SAs before 68 agility? 34 stamina and 40 jumping instead of one capped and the other trainable?

You think you're being funny. I bet a build like that would be pretty good for real.It would certainly do better than a high vision build, since they don't really do shit anyway.

God I hate to sound like a douche and regurgitate the same type of garbage you read every time, but I think it's just that a lot of people don't know how to make a successful FS and more so that a lot of owners don't know how to use them.

You don't need a lot of tackling, you don't need to be the fastest guy.. you just need to have good ball hawking attributes, at least moderately good amounts of speed and agility (70-80s by 40 w/ equip) and a shit load of vision (this is where people differ) and if you're put into a good position to excel, you'll do your job.. which is to rack up PDs, tackles, and interceptions.

I think 90% of the people here want 100 speed and 100 tackling and go get at it. Be the last line of defense and blitz the run occasionally and we're fine. That's why FS is so underrated in GLB. You can be an unstoppable support system for your CBs if you're built well and put in a position to succeed. The zone specialist VA, the ball hawk VA, they're amazing for the FS position because you're in a position to cover up to 3 receivers when the ball is launched. A CB just latches on to one man usually.

do you know how long I have been trying to get that in people's heads? Most people on this game think they are doing good when their F.S. gets no stats.

I definitely, definitely disagree that stats are a good measure of a FS. In fact, while high tackles don't say much about your safety individually, if you play in a C1 or C2 then lots of tackles=the rest of your defense is shit, or your DC doesn't know what he's doing.

As far as builds go, you're right--tackling has to be the most overrated attribute in the game for safeties. No reason to even softcap it for a long time.

FS need high speed, vision, and agility. Nothing else needs to be past the first cap for awhile.

Agreed, unless you happen to play in the south east asia pro league, then solely focus on tackling...
