Funny you should mention that, the first testers were invited around the time the playoffs started last season, I accepted the invite day 42 if I am not mistaken. So much for that theory that this could have been tested last season. And what's so funny about me being one of the most vocal critics? Does that have anything to do with me being a "tester"? Which in the truest sense of the word I am not really so far in any regard but the Defensive AI tester. But anyway, it has nothing to do with that, it has to do with how I feel about integrity, sportsmanship and not abusing even well known bugs and flaws. Which, in a roundabout way, is probably one of the reasons that I was invited to the test server in the first place, which certainly came as a surprise to me.


People paying serious attention to the sim (I assume this is a prerequisite for being a tester?) noticed this halfway thru season 7. Nowhere did I say it should have been tested last season, merely that it should have been acknowledged early enough for something to be done before the game 12 cut-off for sim changes this season. I donīt know your role, but you must have more access to the devs than us mortals and are one of the guys supposed to be preventing just this kind of thing. But here you are, loudly denouncing us 2 seasons after the exploit play came into existance. Very ironic.

Its definitely not fun being Bort in the balancing the game sense. As for money, I'm sure he's turning a nice profit from the game not millions but certainly enough to support his family and DD's family because that's exactly what this game is doing at the moment.

I like the new variables with VAs and AE. And the new AI stuff is going to be amazingly cool. When Advanced AI came out I was a huge fan of being able to control more things and actually have a legit game plan.

I just get bugged when people on the boards consistently propose bad ideas like Weight Classes and Positional Soft Caps that implicitly limit creativity and "Realism" which results in nerfing of players with "unrealistic" stats. Cause, honestly, not everyone can win, you have to have a solid game planner and solid builds to win. I feel like that was the deal in Season 6, good OTs shut down good DEs, same with CBs to WRs and every other match there was Not to mention the fact that 90% of the people citing statistics on the forums do it without consideration for bad competition, slow building teams and CPU teams.

Basically, I think Bort had an excellent product and reduced it to a good product by listening too much to the majority and not enough to the informed minority. Its the trouble with polls in general, too many people simply don't know what they're talking about and for that reason just shouldn't be heard.

Exactly. But if you listen to the experts you actually move to improve. Its why real life owners and GMs will take in what fans have to say at times but, in the end, will give way more weight to the opinions of coaches and scouts, cause they know what they're talking about.

The key difference here is that Tiffany will come out and say "Yeah, we're taking advantage of the simulation" but Stockholm won't come out and say "Yeah, we adjusted our game plan to the simulation a little more in the playoffs." Not saying it was right or wrong to do, but it happened, we can see it, and to deny it is flat out annoying. You made a change to win games, a change you knew could upset people. Just come out and say it, say you did it to win and put the issue to bed, don't act like you're 100% innocent. That is all.
