We're in a game full of people from Texas, mostly TexAgs fans.

Matt Schaub was never as good as his contract, nor has he proved it.
Who is their running back again?
Andre Johnson is going to miss offseason workouts because he's injured
They're the Texans.

It's one thing to show love for 'em, but to say they're going to the superbowl is a case of severe fan disillusionment. They can't compete with the Titans, much less the Colts.

Alright, first thing's first...
1) I love my Texans, but I don't think for a second that we're SB bound this year. I'll be on cloud 9 with a Wild Card in the AFC South.

2) You're right, so far, Schaub hasn't proven he's worth the money...but it's terribly difficult to say with any real certainty after an incomplete season how good he could be. Our O-Line didn't play for crap till well after mid-season.

3) The Jags are and have been the 2nd best team in the AFC south for a few years now. Neither the Texans nor the Titans have shown what it takes to prove otherwise (Though lately, we do beat them more often than not). It's true, the Titans have had our number, but as long as that team has that tall RB under center and continue to not add weapons, they'll be the bottom feeders of this division soon enough. To say we can't compete with them is simply nuts. To lose two games by a combined 10 points is competing.

Those are very good questions and/or interesting opinions. I'm glad you asked and/or brought up those issues.

I completely disagree with that statement and/or opinion. Please don't make me dig up his stats the half of the season he was healthy. He's a big guy and he is bulking up this offseason. He was only injured after how many completely blatant cheap shots? Don't forget the unfortunate incident where he had an awkward fall after having big ass Albert Haynesworth laying a monster hit. He's coming back and he'll be better than what he showed. IMHO of course.

I am going to predict an amazingly suprisingly strong Chris Taylor, Chris Brown, and Steve Slaton along with Darius Walker for whichever of those three gets injured. This would mean designating Green the June 1st casualty in my guestimation.

He had an anthroscopic (spelling?)knee scraping procedure and will be back 100% in time for TC. Andre is a beast...stats don't lie.

I and many Texans love the ...uh...Texans, sure. I really have to see where someone said anything about the Texans going to the Superbowl because I don't recall that. The battlered koolaid is being consumed, but it's not being spiked. I do remember when we beat the Colts a few years back, and I bet the Texans cream the Tacks this year, and no way does the "bust" I like to call "Wonderlic Kid Wonder" with his weak receiving corps or gutted defense beats the Texans You will see a playoff calibre team this year from the Texans. IMHO of course...

No offense, cuz i was a bears fan for 30 years, 2 years ago the bears went and Im sure there were millions of fans with severe disillusionments at the start of ur season but it did pan out. Stranger things have happened. Hell the frikn Giants won it all this year.

Also its been mentioned...but no Texan fan here said anything about a SB

For what it's worth, I've had both of my knees scoped and it's really no big deal. There's nothing that can be broken or undone by walking/running on it. Your knee has to heal for a couple weeks TOPS before going crazy-go-nuts on it just from the trauma of having a couple (2-3) of VERY tiny holes poked and a lil bit of cleaning up.

The Texans have the best LB in the league in Demeco Ryans. He is absolutely rediculous.

You're saying this with a Bears fan in the thread?

Papa Halas would turn over in his grave if you said that aloud. We all know the best LB in the game is Brian Urlacher, and that Lance Briggs is a tackling machine.

As for the rest, I dun really feel like going through and quoting all that, so I'll say this:

psychonaut, Matt Schaub was never more than an unproven back-up to Mike Vick that never played well with Atlanta. He was given a huge price tag and played poorly, no matter your excuses. To me and the rest of the league, he has a hell of a lot to prove.

And my point with the RB comment was simple, you can't win a Wild Card game without a decent running game, and I know that Texans O-line has improved in seasons past but...you get it. Even Chris Brown is a Titans reject.

And in defense of the Titans, I wouldn't call Vince Young a bust. He certainly hasn't lived up to the hype, but he's never had the roster (especially receiving corp) to give him any sort of help. The Titans have a good front four and they'll probably shut down the run again this year, but that's not enough considering they lack a superior offensive line, have a slow running game, and a receiving corp that is about as fast as my mom's Netzero dial-up connection, and about as skilled as a nun giving a blowjob.

In truth, the game's the Titans win he either wins by himself, or with little support. Including a game not too long ago against the Texans, when he scrambled into the endzone with just a few seconds left to beat them.

HoustonMark,

Jaguars don't count, in all honesty. They could compile a 16-0 regular season record and still lose to the Wet Floppy Donkey Dicks in the second round. (Hint: They get a first round bye) Then again, I don't suppose the Titans have the best track record in that department either.

LMAO, I was the one who said anything about the texans going to the super bowl. I said they would nto go. the best they could achieve is a Wild card spot. As for Schaub. um. I think he lead the league in passing the first three games???? then when davius got hurt. he had to throw to backups???? I am a tried and true radiers fan No doubt. But I love the game of Football. And saying the Texans QB sucks is a horrible statement. He just did not fit into the the falconc game plan they needed a mobile QB because they built the team around Vick. Look at all thsoe good QB ( I did not say great) that are flopping in Atlanta right now because they are not as mobile as Vick. That is why the new head coach has his work cut out for hi, to ge the O-line in order for a less mobile QB. As for the titans they won alot fo games they should have lost. they got lucky. Young throing a bomb with 4 seconds, left and the receiver coming up with the ball, or a long kick return in the final minute of the game to set up a game winning long field goal. Lucky I tell you. Jackseville. I think they have a good team. But Garrad is not yet proven. they need a true leader at QB. and he is accident prone, he wil be hurt but week six. So that puts the texans in the running for wild card spot. Just the facts. Texans have a really good D not the top 5 but good enough to hold good teams to 21 to 24 points. So where does that leave them in the order of offense. can they score? Last season schaub destopyed good defenses when he had his star receiver to throw too. Green did an OK job, nothing great. But the O-line needs to be improved. I think they are working on that as we speak getting a better O-line so that they can run more effective. I think they have a real good checne at making a wild card spot. You heard it here. And thr Radiers have their first winning seasn. 9-7!

I never said he sucks, I said he's unproven. He might not suck, but he's yet to prove me otherwise. I won't judge him after one season. He had his moments, but so did my dog after the neutering.

Other than that, that whole post is pure speculation. Garrard is certainly proven (at least to an extent) and he's a big reason they got as far as they did last year. Oh, and if you're a true football fan then you would know, there is no such thing as luck. They might win games they should lose, but it has nothing to do with luck. His name is Jeff Fisher, and his name is Vince Young.

I'm not much into predicting the season before it (I'm not a Yahoo, ESPN analyst who gets paid to be wrong on TV), but I'll give it a whirl because everyone else is throwing random numbers at me.

Texans fall short of wild card, Titans take it again. Raiders still suck, McFadden not as good as Peterson.

LMAO, well as a true Radiers fan. I do want McFadden to be good. But I agree not as good as peterson. Titans, I predict fall short and Jeff Fisher gets fired! Titans want to move back to Houston, but uh wait... there is a team there so they stay put and hire a new coach. LOL. I am glad you are taking all this in stride!
