True, but if you have good D AI you can get the job done with lesser speed. Anyway, people always been scared I'd be burned yet it doesnt happen.

Ok, well that's your opinion but let's look at your CBs.
Your CB Shaun Rose with 50.99 jumping & 32.4 catching has so far this season only deflected or intercepted 28% of his passes and your other CB D Will with 60.78 jumping & 27.76 catching has only deflected or intercepted 48% of his passes.
I'd suggest getting that catching up....

I'm assuming your CB has reasonable jumping and low catching? Well I don't know if you knoww this but so far this season your CB has only deflected 40% of the passes to the WR he was covering.
Those are bad tests for catching, because CB3 also has higher speed, agility, and vision--the three most important attributes for a cb. Also, those cbs aren't doing well at all; they are giving up 500+ yards of passing a game. For us to really see whether catching has that big of an impact on a cb's ability to get pds, the cbs would all need exactly the same stats except for catching, they'd need to be covering wrs with the exact same stats, the qb would have to have the exact same stats and be getting the same pressure, and the wrs would need to be running the exact same routes. What you are seeing there is a better all around cb doing better than those he is better than. Also, those stats are hugely inflated because the teams they are going against are only throwing the ball on them.
This doesn't mean that catching doesn't help. Those games are some evidence that it might help, but it is very weak evidence, and it certainly doesn't prove that catching is better than jumping. It also doesn't prove that the hit other skills will take to get catching to the first or second cap is worth it. One thing I can say is that there is a cb on one of my teams who capped catching before anything else, and my cb who went speed-->agility-->vision-->jumping is much better.
One of the problems with your argument is that you are assuming that there needs to be another factor besides jumping in deciding whether a cb can get a pd over a wr catching it; you think that they have to run the same formula to decide who gets the ball. That isn't true. It makes more sense that a wr would have more factors come into play because catching the ball is harder than just knocking it down. This is just conjecture, but it makes sense that a cbs pd roll would be based on his positioning with the ball, whereas the wrs catch roll would be based on his positioning with the ball + his catching. This makes it easier for the cb to do what is really easier--knocking the ball to the ground.
If it was jumping that gets your hands on the ball in the first place the other CBs in those games I posted would have as many PDs as the CB I mentioned as they all have the same jumping! He's getting 10+ PDs a game covering 100 speed WRs with 60 jumping.

All three have 89 speed 63 agility and 50 vision. 2 have 49 catching 30 jumping. one has 49 jumping and 30 catching.
they all play on the same team.seems to me viscount is dead on with his Theory.

It's not just the amount they have, using the scout script they also have deflected or intercepted a higher percentage of their passes than the other CB Anubis. So far Ba'al has deflected or intercepted 70% of his passes.

Yeah well they are all playing on medium coverage too. so they give up some passes. But it's all for the good of the experiment.
