Lack of experience might hurt him. You being an Iowa fan makes you a homer. Sorry to say. But he will do good once he gains some experience, definately shouldn't be taken over Knowshon or Beenie tho.

i have to state first that i am an iowa fan .. and thus .. a bit of a homer ...

that being said ... i am also a football fan ... Beenie is a good back .. but truth be told was not better than Shon Greene last year ...

but you are right he only played one year ... but look at it this way ... did he play on a team that was one of the best in the country and piled up his stats blowing out teams ?? ... the answer to that question is a resounding no ...

Iowa was a Decent team ... top half of the big ten ... Shon Greene piled up his stats consistantly every game ...

i have not watched knowshon enough to make a comparison.. but i Do believe Shon Greene .. (reguardless of 40 time) is one of the top 2 backs in this draft

Its like comparing Barry Sanders to Jim Brown(not putting them in their talent level) Just saying elusive vs. power...

But here is a Knowshon highlight reel..

Lack of experience is also lack of getting pounded at the collegiate level. Greene's not going to be hurt by his "lack of experience". Comparatively speaking, the running back position translates better than almost any other position from college to the pros.

One thing that will be an issue is pass blocking. I know everyone gets excited about running ability but if you can't block for shit, you are going to be downgraded significantly. Anyone with intelligent observations about these guys ability to block?

I'm a Nebraska guy so I can tell you that Marlon Lucky is going to be a VERY solid 3rd down back and he could be a decent #2 guy for many teams. He suffered through some nagging injuries in his senior season but he led all D-1 RB's in receptions two seasons ago. He's also great at picking up the blitz.

I am not a fan of Well's so I'd agree with Greene over him but imo LeSean McCoy > Greene. Anyone who has seen McCoy plays knows exactly how good he is.

Knowshon isn't really an elusive RB, he's more of a hybrid, the guy is so quick but he's also a physical RB.

Except when he played Iowa. Greene was heads and shoulders better than him H2H. And that was when Greene was out of shape.

That's debateable. Greene had better numbers but McCoy's 27 yard TD in the 4th won the game for his team...so...

Well, personally a win means more to me than individual stats but Greene did put up better stats, however I still take LeSean McCoy over Greene.

I saw Mccoy and Greene in person last season and they are both great RBs.

I think both could have benefited from staying in school another season, especially Mccoy

Jake Christensen was the quarterback in the 2nd half. The playcalling was pass-heavy in the 2nd half. JC was benched for the rest of the season after that game and now he's transferring to Illinois State.
