its easier to get open then it is to follow someone step for step
even harder to follow someone step for step AND make a play on the ball when the qb is throwing the ball away from them

also keep in mind the qb is trying to throw the ball away from the cb, we need all Physical Attributes(and higher vision) along with tackling, and catching to be effective in man to man
wr's and qb's can act cb's have to react ... and react correctly ... jukes, pump fakes ... and so on

confidence(30+) - if not your player will play off the wr after a completion as he wont want to get beat again, making the wrs job easier

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Quit posting this shit like it's a fact, when it's nothing more than your half-assed opinion.

This is NOT true. Confidence has NOTHING to do with how close you play the WR - nothing.

Everything else in your post was basically wrong as well, but I'm just going to leave it at that.

confidence = in game moral gains/losses
morale = how well your player plays

higher confidence will minimize in game morale losses, maximize morale gains
and allow ur player to play to his potential

lower morale will do the opposite, causing your player to play below his potential

so if ur cb (example 70 speed, 70 agility 60 vision) is not playing to his potential
and playing a bit lower (example 67 speed, 67 agility 58 vision) due to lack of in game morale then how will he be able to play as close to the wr as he did in the beginning of the game?

look all that and i didnt need to be ignorant about it like u Bukowski
