Well,

all arguing aside, I have to appreciate someone doing something different. My only real concern was that blocking should be something that is addressed (and addressed a lot) once the other attributes are "done".

Basically, all the SP you earn while leveling up in the 40s should be for blocking. My only thing was that blocking does not need to be tended to early on.

But, good job on doing something new. Too you did not get your team, because i was gonna send 0my vision HB over there ...remember.

On the subject of replays not working - for a while now replays just haven't been loading properly for me. It loads all the offense players and then 1 D player - and takes it one frame forwards every time I click "play". I fixed it by changing my settings to the 10fps mode - which is still annying. I'm gonna check out the bugs forum now.

If your building a pure blocking back, I would go this way. Focus on strength to first cap, then focus, agility to first cap, then blocking to first cap. Train speed and stamina. This will make you a beast of a blocking FB when you get into the level 13 capped leagues.

In my opinion strength is more important then blocking, but both are needed. If you only going to be blocking you will need some speed, but once you hit you block most RBs are going to pass you anyway. Now you will need a lot of agility to make sure you are going to stay in front of the back you are blocking for. Really doesnt matter if you are a great blocker if you are doing it 3-4 feet behind your running back.

blocking is some what over rated if you are going to run more. My FB has blocking in the high 30s and normally gets more pancakes and hit the holes better then the other guy on my old team, who had blocking in the 60s.

A FB needs a lot of different atts to be a great blocker, strength, agility, blocking, vision, and some speed.

I advocate speeeeed. Its hard to block down field if your HB is faster!

When I retire im doing a 70/70 speed/agil slow build FB he should have that by the time hes level 25ish I think.

I think strength but you have to be at least 10 within your HB speed or else you will not be able to lead block for him. Bowling over guys and maintaining the lead is a beautiful thing.

No you don't, speed is the most overrated stat for a FB. My FB leadblocks fine for HBs with 30 more speed with very few problems.

My FB is only a level 21 but I'm very happy with his 71 blocking. He gets to the defender and they don't get away. I think he looked a lot better than the strength-based FB who played in front of him last season. I'm going to take agility to the second cap, then work on speed, but after that, I'm planning on taking blocking even higher.

He's also becoming available on Day 1 of season 8 :-)

but what is the HB speed. If it is 100 your speed is 70 which is much higher than most fbs... I am assuming most teams with level 45-50 level have at least one back pushing 100 speed

I for one think blocking is over rated for fbs and TEs. all you need is to bump them so the back can go by behind you. You are not an OT who is supposed to engage a DE for a significant amount of time.

I am not exactly going to give out the details of builds, but I will say the lead fullback on my team is fantastic, he leads my super elusive hb just fine, and there is a 45 point speed differential.

As the USA Pro League FB with an endorsement (yay!) I'd gather that to be a good blocking FB, you need equal parts strength and blocking while still having good vision, agility, and speed.

I think the bottom line here is that even building a specific FB build is difficult.

endorsements mean nothing. the backup fullback on my team won an endorsement and he only plays special teams...
