Both those teams have a lot of 40's. You can say that we're too powerful for this league, but the truth is, the teams that are able to compete have to have level 40's.

Just because your team doesn't have 40's, doesn't been you have to complain about it.

Maybe cause the above teams don't boast over their wins ... especially in the outmatched games

funny, the only people from our team in here really are tcat and myself. i keep quiet for the most part and the only reason im in here is because its my team, im not going to let anyone talk shit on a team im proud of. tcat can take care of himself, personally im just looking forward to playing batavia and lynchberg cause it'll be fun to have some competitive games

and whoever commented on my level 45 qb, i wasn't even planning on bringing my qb to this team because of the fact we were lower level, but during the offseason he was a free agent when south otto told me that i could bring him here or have him as a back up but not getting as many snaps, now tell me... given that choice would you rather have your qb start and play on your own team, or be a backup for another team and not play much when he's level 45, what would you choose? obviously i wanted him to get playing time and stats

Well TCAT was originally boasting

Also nothing wrong bringing your players on your team ... hell my wife and I have a few players on her team

True, but tcat talks enough for your whole team!

It's all good though, I think most of us may have taken him wrong from the start, if he's just trying to get things rolling that's cool, but he came on a little strong I guess, at least for me.

In our defense, maybe you know this, maybe you don't, but you've mentioned it several times. USA BBB leagues aren't really beginners leagues. Bort is trying to make everyone believe that and making revisions to force the structure into that, but that hasn't been the case.

USA BBB has been around since season 2 which I 'think' is longer than any other regions A leagues, much less BBB leagues. In fact, longer than the entire African region. For the first 3 seasons only one team was promoted so the competition left behind was pretty fierce. In fact, only in the last two seasons when the promotion system was revised because it couldn't keep up with the sold teams has the competition in the BBB leagues loosened up. Take, for instance,

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1665 - Roswell Space Pirates
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1673 - San Diego Blaze
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1216 - Philadelphia Demonik
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1661 - Houston Space Cowboys

all these teams were promoted from BBB 13 Western Conference last season, not out of the league, out of the western conference alone. I'm sure the east went through the same thing but I didn't know the teams and didn't want to take the time to look them up. If you look over there rosters, they would have easily been competitive with the best teams in the conference this season. My point is simply that only now is the talent dropping off where there is such a huge disparity between the top and bottom. If it happens again this season, if the top 4 get promoted, look around at what's going to be left, if you're not one of the 4, you'll probably be head and shoulders above the rest. Anyway, that's my story, like I said maybe you knew some of the history, maybe not, hopefully it wasn't a complete waste of time.

The reason Fresno is here is because when it was relegation time, we had about 10 players committed to the team and no idea where to get the others. It wasn't a matter of money as I'm sure you'll find out, you can offer a level 40 player max salary and max bonus but unless you're in pro or aaa league most of them are hard to convince to come to your team. Some other reasons were that it had been 2 seasons since I had done anything with the AI, I wasn't sure how much had changed, and our fan support was terrible. I didn't want to end up going with 0-16 because our AI was trash and I was forced to sign a bunch of level 20's because I failed to recruit a team in the few days between seasons.

edit: I'm not saying you're wrong, that the people bragging are right, or anything of the sort. I agree it's neither particularly fun, nor noteworthy to beat a team your 10 levels higher than by 100 points. The reason I'm here is that I didn't want to be on the other end of that and end up back in BBB 13 in season 8. I just wanted to share a little bit of what was going through my mind so maybe you can get an idea of things from our, or at least my perspective.

It wasn't really meant as a compliment, nor a complaint, merely a statement.

Then, since it was a statement, I can decide whether to take it as a complaint or a compliment. And, as you know, I chose compliment .

As for the whole "40 is too high for BBB" thing that people have been complaining about (and that flyinillini was just defending).

I have to disagree. For our team, we brought in our level 40 WR (McDunnough) in at the end of last season. We brought in our 45 QB in this offseason. We brought in the player that allowed us to trade for our level 40 LB's this offseason. We've had a lot of talent this year come in very recently.

If we hadn't brought it in, we'd be a 5-5, 6-4 team right now. Not 9-1 with an undefeated record in our conference.

You know what? I much prefer 9-1.

exactly, south otto fragile porcelain mice are another great example, a lot of the players from our team have agents with players on south otto as well, we were stuck in bbb#1 for a LONG time, but as soon as we advance out of there, we went up two leagues, you have some powerhouses that have been unlucky and stuck in BBB way to long, in two seasons they moved all the way up to AAA. we are trying to put the punks together in the same way, that when we do get out of here, we will have enough talent to move up far, and not have to recruit to many more high level players to compete

That's also very true.

Kinda pointless to advance just to became an 0-16 and go back down the next season.

Just for point of reference on Dallas we were an original A7 team. Our first season we were a 4th seed in the playoffs and lost our first round home playoff game. In the second season I don't think we even made the playoffs because I kept the same players while the rest of the league upgraded. In our third season we made it to the western division championship and lost. At that time I was pretty much burned out. I decided it was time to take some time off so I let everyone on the team out of their contracts and took some lower leveled players on and I let some of them run the team. We got demoted that season. Last season I had some of those same players on the team and we didn't fair very well. This season I filled holes with mostly my own players and we have done better. My goal is to build up the team to be competitive once we get back to A7 and I am now at a point where I am ready to try it again. Like most people who have been around said...it's tough in A7 and you have to really be on top of your game to compete there. It's different now with the CPU's going all the way down to BBB so hopefully some of the stronger teams will be moving up and it will normalize back out.
