Don't look at their average punt distance, by the way. My strength guy just had a 30 average b/c the opposing returner let the ball bounce everytime. My punting guy had a 20 average because the team punted on the 12 yard line multiple times

I'm working on the overall bar, almost have it cracked. I think the final factor is actually weight. Need to do a few tests still

Overall bar:

1/7: Strength, Punting, Vision, Confidence, Agility
1/14: Tackling, Throwing, Kicking, Speed

Multiple, add, take your equip off, round, you know the drill.

If I had to interpret the bars, I'd say....

No jumping anywhere! But Bort said it helps punting though.
Agility is all over the place! Must do something
Speed... isn't! I think speed is literally just that, your speed on the field.
Tackling is obvious. Throwing and Kicking.. not so much. I wouldn't even start to claim any 3 of these make your punting better.

We'll see how my punters do this season. I have an itching feeling that you should stop training jumping and speed, and stick to agility. Maybe capping agility will be the next fun thing for punters, we'll see.

Its more than your gut. A lot of us have noticed little to no correlation with speed/jumping and performance. The thing that may shock us if agility is on par with conf and vision, as the current belief for most punters is

Punting > Conf > Vision > Strength > Agility > Jump/Stamina/Etc.

Since you have 20 or so, how do they perform against non-capping agility punters.

agility is big in this game in "mechanics." It is in most formulas, with confidence actually. Bort responded to a question before.. what helps a player get up fast after falling down? agility and confidence was the answer. Makes sense - but often we forget what little formulas are riddled throughout the sim. What could he be using for punters? Trying a coffin corner, kicking far, how fast/high etc., and who knows how often agility ends up in these.

All players are broke Would have been nice to get level 8 equipment on all of them to really get an extra push on that minor. Oh well.

Better... the real question I have is whether capping agility is better than capping strength. We'll see soon enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if strength literally did nothing for a punter's distance. Big Boot might be the replacement for the logical "strength" of a punter's leg.

Well, odd results from the vision test punter. He had a ton of opportunities inside the opponent 25 today. Hardly ever ATTEMPTED a coffin corner.

The players will play their last games today and tomorrow, then I will compile and publish a pretty good set of results. My next project will be:

Calm Nerves:
This season, bring punting to 49 and train vision + confidence
First 8 games next season: Do not train or add any points
Last 8 games: Immediately add up to 10 in calm nerves
I will analyze coffin corner ability for such a player

Hang Time:
This season, bring punting to 49 and train jumping + strength. Also bring calm nerves to 5 as a control, will be needed.
First 8 games next season: Do not train or add any points
Last 8 games: Immediately add up to 10 in hang time
I will watch the punts to see what the heck this might even do

Big Boot
This season, bring punting to 49 and train strength on normal and agility on normal. Also bring first two SAs to 4-4.
First 8 games next season: Do not train or add points
Last 8 games: Immediately add up to 8 in big boot
Will analyze punting power

To achieve such builds, I will play them in the d-leagues this season to level 5, and then cut the players. They will level to 7, and next off season I will resign for a full season length contract back in the d-leagues.

Awaits with eager anticipation... from an outsider, looks like speed and jumping are the most important things to work on. Just as I'd suspected
