shit happens so deal with it. We have new coaches, AI's, etc. things will change. As for moving my team because Randy wants me too, well you might as well wait for hell to freeze over, I'll hand out the ice skates.

You're the last line of teams to be moved so you will stick around next season, quit crying about it. Produce next season, and you can keep speaking. Until then, you didn't have a good season and there is a legit reason he would suggest to move you.

Oh wow, I didn't mean for my post to start something like this.

If a team doesn't want to move and feels they can get to a competitive level, let them stay. It's their own prerogative if they want to fight an uphill battle.

let me take a shot at this one from a season 1 EE Pro owner foxhole...the league needs good teams...we are in trouble from a competition standpoint...part of the difficulty in pro leagues is that the teams that have retained season 1/2/3 players are better than the others...teams with early home playoff games got the edge and its hard to overcome that....teams moving up from AAA have been like those early edge EE Pro teams but they just took awhile to arrive...

kazan has made the playoffs almost every season in the non-hosting slots mainly...in season one i think we made the Alpha championship game and we were like a 3 seed....so in 6 seasons we have 4 playoff appearances and some success...problem is after season 1 we made the playoffs in seasons 2 and 3 as a visitor and got screwed on the money...we didnt have luck recruiting and the handful of edge teams grew as other teams gutted...so is kazan a crappy team...no...should you toss them out...no...should i try to escape to AAA and retool where i have a fighting chance...yes...will GLB let me...no...will kazan be a shitty team next season...yup...i will take my better players to AAA SE Asia and see how things work out for me...i will still own kazan and it will just not be able to recruit high level players...that means we will be pretty bad next year...that is what happens when GLB doesnt pay attention...take Kazan times 3 or 4 and you have a shitty season 7....

so its not personal...and it isnt about being told you suck...sometimes you just cant get over the hump...kazan isnt Detroit its Green Bay...

I don't see where he appointed himself. This is a messageboard where people share their opinions. He was sharing his. If you think his opinion is bad, then let other people know, or make a thread of your own.

Randy isn't a bully or an asshole. People had a shit ton of ammo to use against my team when it arrived here. We went straight from AA1 to Pro and I was absent in game one where we lost to a horrible Demoniak team. We barely made the playoffs and lost in the first round. Why wouldn't you think that a bully would pick on us?

Kenyon, you should stop being so protective of your mediocrity and get better. Either do that or ask for demotion, for the good of the region. Perhaps then, when you figure out whatever you need to figure out or recruit whoever you need to recruit you can make a push to earn your way back into the Pros. Being born here gives you little right to rightfully expect to stay. You know it, I know it, everyone else knows it.

Pro leagues need competitive teams, as Jarrik said, people get BORED when they have to log in knowing that the game is already decided before they log in.

Detroit leaving is exactly the effect of why we need to improve competition in EE Pro .. because they left looking for competition, they wanted to play more than 2 teams that they had to gameplan for and then sleep until the playoffs. I can respect that.

Also .. if we had ANY other Top 40 teams other than Prague and SGA (and SGA dropped scrims against most top teams this season) they would also be bored. Detroit was a Top 25-40 team .. they need to play better teams not to get bored and lose their players to boredom. My team is fervantly loyal to me, they will play as long as I play, otherwise I suspect most of my team would have quit seasons ago and they have told me as much.

But Prague goes ahead and plays scrimmages against all the best teams and I invest energy into EE Pro .. writing things up and all the stuff that Rezlov said.

As Rezlov said, I would prefer that someone else added some excitement to the EE Pro forums, with predictions, writeups and etc .. I dont really have time, I have a job, I am doing reseach for my PhD and I have a wife, who likes to see me and not when Im working on dotball. This season I got overwhelmed between all the stuff I try to do for EE Pro and then the 30ish scrims and then trying to do AI and everything, I was really ready to call it quits, but I got our tactics just about straightened out, they still arent where I want them, but I just dont have so much time and I try to balance my time between my team and helping my region.

Anyhow, thats all the time I have for that today, I have to worry about getting our first silver trophy in 3 seasons and I am supposed to go to a research day at another research center for my company all afternoon. (its already noon here in Germany)

Also about the whole self appointment arguement, had I wanted to do that, I would have just up and sent it to support and not tried to talk about it with the region.

I was looking for support, ideas and all of that. If I thought that my ideas were all that mattered I wouldnt have asked for help in the first place.

fine Randy, do what you want with your region.

this just sets precedent for the future in your region though.

So, For xample. Lets say Zeta has 3 CPU teams at the end of the season. Instead of just relegating those three CPU teams, those should be considered automatic and the next two _human_ teams with the poorest records should relegate down as well. Then the best teams from the league below would be promoted.



i came in here to say just that. this simple tweak would do the whole of GLB some good. i dont think they would let any league or region self govern.

I know the Tigers suck right now. But in the defense of the Tigers (Yes I have players on that team.)
We changed both or O cord and D cord this season. And the tactics they brough tto game did not work like they did in where they came from. yes I agree the EE PRo needs to get more compitative and yes I htik we need to get more talent up here.
But I know a huge word BUT....
We need to look at more then, just well they were bad this year. Randy you can admit when I had my own team, and we played each other it was a game to watch caus we both paid attention to the game. Now the tactcis got more advance and the players with all the new leagues it gets harder and harder to recruit.
You know this as well as anyone. and the main reason teams get gutted is because of recruiting. People can't recruit and so they sell their teams and become a player as I have done. I am A GM, but I am still deployed to Iraq and I tried to find time to do the revies, but as missions come and soldiers fall it gets harder to do things. So Kenyon had no tchoice but to get a new OC and DC. So yes when they had failed tactics, you are deciding to say, Hey the tigers suck send them, down instead of Well they have the talent. They stayed out of the bottom 2 and they have been in the playoffs every year until this one year. The downword spiral has sucked big time I agree. But for you to say what is good or what is bad for th league should stop. We have talked on and off for the past 6 seasons, and I was onboard with last season and on board every season to get rid of the CPU leagues. I got that. But for you to say, hey, I knwo the rules, guys but I want to change them so that I can have what I want up here is wrong. They have a system set up. RIGHT? the bottom two teams gone and the the top in the next leagues move up?
If that is not the case can someone let me know when it changed?
Now if we decide as a collective effort to say, OK after we get rid of all the CPU teams, we take the bottom two out, then I say OK. But until we do that, we should stick to how the league is attended to be done.
Now on the story of the AACHEAN HELLHOUNDS coming up to the PRO's we did not win the game we needed to, So sorry mates. AACHEAN stays in the AAA another year. Until we can pull out heads out of the sand and figure out why we lose the big game every year, we will stay in AAA. So that shoul dbe taken into account as well.

I'm gonna be honest with you Randy...I've purchased Madden football for at least a decade religiously every year as early as possible and every time I start a franchise, and every time I win by like a gajillion points. That's half the time...The other half I play online for competition. GLB is about there in most leagues. Some scrubs to rack up the goods. Other solid competions to challenge. IF every game was a EEORG vs. Prague/SGA/Etc., I would NEVER have the time to keep up with a game every other day....and I'm on this sumb*tch a lot.

toysoldr007 probably overlooked that part of the system is the admins that make judgment calls in addition to the objective and flawed promotion program.
