Imagine being a team like Macau. Season 1 Pro Team, with solid levels that was competitive, and each season as more "elite" teams finally get to where they belong have become less and less competitive without one change to there roster. As an owner of that team, do you recruit and alienate those who have stuck by you? Or drop down where you are a possible playoff team and keep the players who have been with you since day 1 happy? Personally, i'd choose the latter.

So does that mean they drop down to AAA, get on the verge of winning that and purposely throw the CCG in order to stay away from Pro competition again? It just doesnt make sense one bit...

TBH I don't think their team is good enough to win AAA#1 out right. They are still 5-6 teams in that league not moving up that are very capable of being in Pro so I am sure Macau is going to have to fight for it

Well I also don't see why people would want to move up without actually earning the spot. Would take the fun out of things for me personally.

The best teams don't always make it out of the playoffs to get moved up. And if the current league isn't very competitive, then it's not very fun. Watching your dots run roughshod over the league during the regular season only to get bounced in the playoffs can get frustrating. At least if the whole league is competitive and you have to fight for that playoff spot, you'll have some fun regardless of how the playoffs work out.

Frustrating? Sure...but maybe that should make you work that much harder to get there rather than calling off the dogs and sneaking your way up by trading with someone...

Yea but it is also no fun being in the top league and being the whipping boy either. If you move down you have a better chance to be competitive and enjoy the game

The point is to get to the top right? May as well go play with the little boys in BBB and below if you just want to be good. I hate it when I see someone move down on purpose...its so cowardly.

I don't think it is that. It is just you want the feel to be competitive again and have the fire. That is what Macau has been looking for and it is not like they want to blow out any league, just to compete and maybe make the playoffs which they will have a chance to do in SEA AAA

Listen to how silly that sounds...go to AAA to be competitive which is the step before Pro? A place in which they dont want to be now? It just sounds stupid to me...I dont know...I guess you have to have been fighting your way to the top for a couple years before you understand what its like...they will be sorry for making the decision to move down...

Understood, but I was just throwing that point out there as an example. I hope they never make it back up to be honest if thats the route they take...let them feel the the pain of being down there for awhile...

I wasn't sneaking it. I announced it to the whole league and it is beyond frustrating to be the a top seed in 4 of 6 seasons and choke in the playoffs(I was only involved in the 3rd seed and this past choking )

Plus our team would be promoted anyways this offseason as we would be the 9th AAA team moving up. Might as well switch with a team that does not want to be up here anyways.

bhall why are you getting so upset over this? It is just Pa Dong tryign to get up to SEA Pro and if wasn't this league it was going to be another region either AAA or Pro. This is for me and my team for us to continue to enjoy this game...

Macau has NEVER won a championship, and there hopes of winning one, without major changes, are slim to none. If they moved down 1 season, and win, well, they won a championship at least and are back to where they were. If they don't, they make the playoffs at least in AAA(most likely) and are competitive where as in Pro's next season they are prob a 5 win tops team. Couple the fact that they probably don't want to piss off any players(been the same team since i've been in Pro's) moving down is a completely reasonable option imo.

This team has been a Pro team for 6 seasons, and has spent most of that time being bottom feeders. Is that fun? Not really, yes you are in the pros, but you are getting dominated. I don't fault them at all and wish them the best of luck. It's much easier to look at these teams as an AAA or AA or whatever team that makes the playoffs and say, "how could they want to leave?" Well, swap spaces, and if you get dominated with no title hopes in sight for 6 seasons and see how you feel.

As frustrating as it is...its more frustrating coming from a guy that has been on several teams in that same position...i dont respect teams that swap...thats all I got to say...Pa Dong will likely move up with the recent CPU disbandment...thats fine...the good teams move up...I can handle that...I just cant handle swapping...i think its cowardly...just my 2 cents...

So would if we had moved to USA AAA or AA. Would that still been cowardly? We just wanted a fresh start in a new league. Sure a lot of the teams we know are in this league, but it is still a different league and with the new start we hope that things will be different this time around

Its called getting better...I guess if you like being average, thats cool...not my cup of tea...sometimes you got to make some sacrifices to get better...thats how it is in real life football and thats how it is in GLB...come season 10 and beyond, they will be looking for new guys anyways as skill deteriorate...whatever tho...I wish them no luck at all for pussin out...sorry, just how I feel.

My point is, which you seem to be missing, they are a team of friends, or at least people that want to stick together and have fun. They HAVEN'T added big name free agents, which being a Pro team they could have. So they obviously want to keep there team intact. They have NO shot at being competitive in the Pro's with what they have. So they either have to get rid of players that have been faithful to them that they enjoy having on the team, or they move down. As a team that wants to keep there "team" intact, is moving down really an option? Yes. is that really that hard to understand man? You have to step outside of YOUR thinking and think like another, which I know can be tough, btu come on.

It isn't cowardly. It is looking for a new start. I have never seen a team that starts over that is thought of as cowardly. I understand your view point, as yes we are a quite sore from playoff losses for 6 seasons in a row, but if you were on a team that was a favorite to win the league 3 of those seasons and to make the playoffs every season I am sure that you would have the same thought process

Just shows the tops team take care of the bottom feeders a lot easier than in most leagues. Could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the way you look at it. Next season though I think SEA Pro will be incredibly more competitive with 11 new AAA teams

Everyone's got their own opinions, there's no right or wrong. But everyone has to do what's right for their team and agents to make it fun, or people will stop caring and playing. No rules are being broken, so it's really not a big deal.
