110-3. Didn't see the Cannes giving up the BIG 3 points, but I guess if you get over 1000 yards on O you can't complain

(2) Monmouth EVIL MONKEYS V (15) San Antonio Saints. After stoping the Fire's 28 game win streak the Evil Monkeys get a break. Monmouth 225-0

Evil wins 217-0. Whatever

(3) San Francisco Fire V (10)Richmond Rebel Yell. The Fire try to bounce back from their first loss in a VERY long time against RRY who has one two in a row. I don't think Richmond will have enough to stop the Fire from getting back in the W column. Fire win 41-28

73-34 Fire. Very Solid Effort by the Fire. Their new winning streak is at 1 and counting

(4) South Bay Spartans V (8) Oklahoma City Thunderstorm. Both teams have had it easy the past 3 or 4 games and it show and their recent sucess. Now it's back to some real games. If OCT had gotten the Saints after they gutted and the Spartans before these two teams could be tied. Looking at an upset here. OCT 28-24

41-28 Spartans. TOO much Lary Smith and 14-0 in the forth quarter, blew OCT's shot at the upset

(5) Minnesota Marauders V (14) Dallas Vaqueros. It's been a rough 3 game stretch for the Marauders but they get to relax this week. MM wins 67-10

37-16 Minnesota. Galk gets to keep his team. Not quite the Beat down I expected.

(6) Las Vegas Freebirds V (11) Kailua Daggers. Free birds have been solid all season against the lower level teams in the league. That won't stop this time out. LVF wins 37-10

43-6 Freebirds. Another solid game from a very talented team. Freebirds are going to be trouble in the playoffs

(7) Bourbon Street Bullies V (16) Houston Hookers. Bourbon street has got their O figured out in time to put up 200+ on the hookers. BSB 255-0

BSB wins 125-0. It must be be kind to CPU day or something for the Bullies only to put up 125 on the hookers

(9) Anchorage Penguins V (12) Columbus Bucks. I've been giving the Bucks more credit than they deserve all season and I'm going to do it again. The mere fact that the Penguins only beat Dallas by 9 is enough of a reason to pick against them. Bucks in the upset 31-28

Penguins win 34-27. Penguins keep proving me wrong, very even game.

Gotcha.

If you're going to keep dissing us for beating bad teams in close games, you also should give us credit for losing in very close games to playoff teams. Like the game we lost 22-20 where the other team made three 50+ yard field goals in the 4th quarter, including a 59.5 yarder. Or the overtime loss to BSB or losing by one to Las Vegas.

We have no illusions about being the best in USA Pro, it's a tough conference this year, but we are most definitely a top 8 team. That (9) has no business being next to our name.

DID you notice I said the Penguins keep proving me wrong. DAMN. How about this I will bring up all the close losses and I will also bring up the 48 point beat down Monmouth put on you, the 35 point loss to the Cannes and the fact that you haven't beat a team with a winning record. FAIR?

Weren't you in 9th going into today? You definitely have a good shot at finishing higher, but the outrage seems a bit out of place.

That's all very fair, I'm not saying we should be ranked 1st. We're hardly the only team to have lost big to Monmouth or Honolulu. That is not a reason to rank us 9th.

Probably 8th, but 4 through 9 is a crapshoot. Lots of good teams with very little separating them.

oh grow up. I sure hope cv doesn't post these rankings so that everyone will make a big thread talking about how perfect they are. This is a forum. He starts a thread with rankings, now you don't want people to discuss them? If you think we belong at 9 then make a good case for it.

We've still got a long way to go. We've got two gimmies left and 3 tough games, so we could very conceivably be left on the outside. We pretty much have to beat one of OKC, Minnesota, or SF, so next weeks (aka 2 days from nows) game is pretty big. Columbus is certainly a better team than I think they are given credit for and certainly were not a gimmie.
