While everyone thinks that if we even do get to the NC versus Florida, we will get stomped. I at first did believe that until I have actually closely examined both teams head to head. When OU played Texas, we had no running game. Now that our running game is playing possibly better then our passing game pretty much assures that nobody will slow us down. On Florida's offense. Are they good? Yes they are but this is the type of team's OU has success against on Defense. While Tebow is a good runner, he would be ineffective since OU has had problems with fast and shifty QB's where as Tebow is a power QB. That means Florida would have to rely on there running game with James, Harvin, Rainey, and Moody. OU has not faced a true speed/agility back this year, we will this weekend in Kendall Hunter so we will see how we face up there but we are traditionally solid against the run. Now on to the passing game. I personally am not impressed by Tebow as a passer. I do not think that Florida would have the success that most people would think that they would have. If I had to pick a final, this is what I would pick

OU - 49
UF - 35

I don't see anyone stopping OU's offense and I believe the Sooners would be able to slow down that high powered Florida offense. I do not believe Florida has been tested as both LSU and Georgia are VERY OVERRATED. Alabama will be the first legitimate Top 10 team that Florida has played this year. On the other hand, Oklahoma has already played 2. Yes we did lose to Texas and I am not making up exscuses, but if Ryan Reynolds had not gotten hurt, then I believe we win that game. We were in control until he got hurt and when he went out, our next LB got burnt and Texas scored on every possession. We dominated a Texas Tech team by 44 points just a few weeks earlier. So many people had talked about Texas' defense, but look who shut down Tech better. Bob Stoops said this as best as anyone could. "If you can't put Oklahoma in front of Texas because we lost to them, then you must keep Texas Tech in front of Texas." Not to mention that Texas played a very weak out of conference schedule while we beat 2 Top 25 teams including one that will be in a BCS bowl with there 4th string QB while we beat them when they had #1 in.

You think that OU's defense is better than UF's? What a joke, OU hasn't faced one single good pass defense all season. Texas' pass defense is young and inexperienced...TT's was a complete joke in that game, they had so many broken coverages and got no passrush. Florida is great against the run because of their swarm defense so I would not expect OU's offense to run well and their pass defense is very good. As for OU's defense, they stopped the Texas Tech one trick pony offense which really isn't that hard, try stopping an offense that has a devasting speed run game and an amazing passing game. As for being impressed with Tebow as a passer, don't be impressed but what you can say about Tebow is that he can throw a good deep ball to the fast Florida WRs, makes great reads and doesn't throw ints. If you honestly think that OU has played a defense or offense like Florida's then you are badly mistaken. My prediction is...if UF beats FSU and Bama:
UF - 45
OU - 28

TCU or Cincy ring a bell Jrry? TCU has a top 10 pass defense easily and OU was all over them. And I had to stop reading after you said that Florida had an amazing passing game. Tebow is an average passer at best and your recievers are nothing special except Harvin and look what OU did to the best reciever in the nation. Florida is an overrated team while Alabama is underrated. I am making a surprise prediction and saying Alabama over Florida.

Yes our WRs are nothing special after Harvin, completely forget about Louis Murphy who is a projected 2nd-3rd round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, you can also forget about Riley Cooper who is 6'3, has good speed and makes great catches, forget Deonte Thompson who is one of the fastest players the Gators have and Forget Carl Moore, one of the top JUCO Prospects last season. Harvin gets all the headlines but for anyone who has watched UF, they know that all of UF's WRs are very good and all will burn you if you let them. You can't forget the TE Aaron Hernandez as well, who is already being looked at for the NFL draft as a sophmore...you should just feel lucky we don't have CI who in my opinion was a better receiving TE then Gresham.

TCU and Cincy? You call those top 10 defenses, Cincy has a great corner in Mike Mickens but the rest of their defense isn't very good...and TCU and Cincy both play in bad conferences so they don't play good offensive teams. Utah and BYU are the only half decent Offensive Teams in the Mountain West and I wouldn't consider any Big East team to be a very good offensive team.

Tebow is an average passer at best? Are you joking? Why don't you look at his numbers: 2114 yards, 22 TDs to 2 ints, 66% completion % and a QB rating of 175.2. But let me guess, because UF doesn't throw a lot of passes that makes Tebow a bad QB? Even though his TD to int ratio is 11 to 1...better than your boy Bradford's and Bradford's completion % is BARELY higher than Tebow's at 68%. So really Tulsa, him being a bad QB is just YOUR opinion...the stats don't back it up and I doubt any team who has faced him would call him a bad QB.

BTW OU stopped Crabtree because TT had no running game. You can't just double cover Harvin vs. UF because Demps and Rainey or one of the other great WRs on UF will burn you. Plus Harvin is a more dangerous player than Crabtree...Crabtree may be the best WR but he doesn't have Harvin's speed.

I will break this down paragraph by paragraph

1. I never said anything about Florida's WR's and I am in fact quite impressed with the WR's has. I just don't believe Tebow has the ability to get them the ball.

2. I never said Top 10 defenses. I said the have Top 10 PASS DEFENSES. Cincy's pass defense is solid but not special while on the other hand, TCU's pass defense is easily Top 10

3. I never said Tebow was bad, I just think he is overrated and he is an average QB. #'s aren't all that matter also jrry. Florida and Oklahoma both have lost one game while Florida lost at home to an unranked team and OU lost at a neutral field to the # 2 team in the nation when we lost the heart and soul of our defense in the 2nd half and had no running game. Bradford carried our offense that game and did all he could to get us the win.

1. Let me quote you on this: "Tebow is an average passer at best and your recievers are nothing special except Harvin" so you are now retracting your previous statement?

2. Of the 2,(Cincy and TCU) Cincinatti is the only one of those 2 teams that have a player on their defense that could be considered a top player in the NCAA. TCU's pass defense isn't all that good, they have good stats because they only player 3-4 good pass offenses a season.

3. You can't judge on anything BUT the numbers and Tebow's are quite good. As for the losses, who cares? Florida has rebounded from that loss and gone on a tear, that loss means absolutely nothing if we win out...all it was, was a kick in the butt to get our team going. In our loss, Tebow carried the team and at the end couldn't get a first down. YOU call Tebow an average QB but find me 1 single defensive player or coach call him an average QB after they play him? You won't because Tebow brings it every game and runs Florida's offense as well as anyone could.

Ole Miss perhaps?

OU will destroy OSU this weekend....Since OU beat TT and TAMU by more (oh wait eXas didn't beat TT) than eXit (eXas)...then we will win the Big-12 South go onto the Big-12 Championship to destroy Mizzou....Once that is done with......OU.....will DOMINATE WHOEVER...ends up playing them in the NC.

I will not try to confound with stats or even the EVIDENT truths, but will merely state that eXas will end up as the official whiners and more whiners of the Big-12. They will whine about everything before the season isn't over.

TT > Texas
OU +> TT
eXas != OU (eXas beat OU by 10, TT beat eXas by 6 , OU Destroyed TT by 44)

Neutral field give you a half so lets say OU > TT by 22...either way we are much better than eXas!

Fly your banner over the Bedlam game....Even bare your butts in the stadium for the overpriced season tickets you had to buy from Stagnation Water to even be at the game....In the end OU > eXas...get over yourselves!

Are you fucking serious? You are better than Texas? THEY BEAT YOU ON A NEUTRAL FIELD. YOU AREN'T BETTER THAN THEM IF THEY BEAT YOU ESPECIALLY BY 10. I am no Texas fan but OU fans have no logic if they think they are better than Texas. And Florida will stomp OU in the NC if we can win the real National Champ game vs. Bama.
