Just FYI, we never talk smack unless provoked. Clearly you earned every bit of what you're getting now.

And regardless of the yardage it has to be a little deflating to lose to a team that for the most part hasn't boosted or gameplanned yet this season. Maybe there are a few decent teams in this league after all...

No one said there wasn't a few decent teams in this league. There is us, the freebirds, and green bay. Basically anyone that is from AAA #2 except for DDL. They suck.

Since we're 3-1 against those three teams, I wish you were right.

Why??????? Why do you want to drag me into this? I'm just sitting here, keeping my nose out and you have to try to suck me into it. All I'll say is this. You GM a very good team. I hope some day to play it in a game that means something....anything at all. I'm sure you guys GPed every bit as much for us as I did for you in our 2 games. Not at all. Hell, I didn't even realize the 1st was a tourney game. I was away on vacation with the fam and thought it was just a friendly (not that it would have changed anything and I would have even looked at your roster if I had known). Hell, with all the shit talked back and forth between us and Yell over the last 2 seasons, neither of us stooped to throwing our scrims/preseason games in each other's faces. That's just sad.

That's all we've got to go on my good man. Since all I was going for was a ranking of "decent" I figured scrimmages were valid. The three good teams shouldn't need to gameplan for a bad team, right?

As far as I can tell, I didn't say anything negative about GB or LV. It seems like you might be reading too much into it.

I was just screwing around. I was supposed to go somewhere today, got stuck at home instead and am bored as hell. Besides, isn't it a prerequisite in USA Pros to say that you didn't try in tourney games or scrims when you get beat?!?!?! I'm pretty sure it's on page 8 of the Welcome to USA Pros booklet that is given out to new teams. It's under the heading Never Accept Responsibilities for a Loss.

Given? I was told you had to buy that booklet from TSE on ebay.

Oh yeah and that reminds me... we didn't really lose against Las Vegas. We just wanted to let our punter finally make the Top Performers list.

No, that's the How To mannual, though I'm pretty sure TSE co-wrote the section I was referring to also. I seriously considered buying the mannual. The only reason I didn't was because I figured that if he couldn't win the big games, after going 16-0 with an unboosted team, he really isn't that much of a strategy expert after all. Obviously, the talent was there, but the strategy was woefully lacking.

i know all of this is in good fun, but that last comment really has me confused.

what kind of support did you get? emotional support - as in a kleenex to wipe away the tears? athletic support - perhaps someone cupped your balls and patted you on the butt?

regardless, i'm glad they've got your back, because if you need support to read, you definitely wouldn't make it in our forum.
