Am I right in believing you get all your bonus tokens back when you sell a piece of AE? That means if I picked up a piece of equipment early with a 2% chance of swat ball and upgraded it twice, when I got to a higher level I could shop for one of those sweet pieces of AE like +2 vision and shutdown, sell my old equipment, and immediately upgrade it to +2 vision, +2 speed and +2 shutdown. Sounds like there is no penalty for experimenting with equipment and going shopping often

The only penalty would be the cash involved and the bonus tokens you lose out on by training on normal instead of intense.

Holy crap, that's awesome!

I had no idea.

Anything else about this stuff we haven't discussed?

So, there is a way, albeit slightly pricey, to carry over Bonus Tokens from year to year. If you get them back anyway, use them to upgrade Advanced Equipment. Later, at a higher level when the better AE "drops," you'll have the BT's to upgrade the new piece instantly.

I guess this means, no matter how good/poor a piece of AE is, get a piece. Worst case, it is a storage device for BT's and a better piece in the future. This translates to a great investment.

Also, I guess its cheaper to upgrade a lower-end piece of AE. So, if you want to save cash, get a couple pieces of AE. One just has to make sure the price of the new piece is lower than the upgrade cost of the original AE.

Yes, it's a good way to carry over bonus tokens.

You can find cheap $500 pieces of AE, so after you're done with it and sell it back, it actually only ends up costing you $250.

Not good for a corner. Better for a SS.

Kind of a waste anyway unless you get a +2 and an SA.

Is 'Catch Ball Chance +5%" worth even considering on a cornerback? I'm level 33 and had a "+3 vision, Catch Ball Chance +5%" come up and it sounded ok, but not sure if the % items are really that worth it,or how often catch ball comes up for a corner really.

Probably not, unless you have a high amount of catching and are already getting a decent amount of interceptions.

For me, if a piece of AE doesn't have a SA, I don't even consider it. The +% mods just don't really seem worth it.

I'm with you on this. I posted something to this effect in the main forums.

For the benefit of passing up Skill Points [4 Bonus Tokens = 1 SP], you need the SA's, especially if its right-most on the Skill Tree, i.e. Pancake or Shutdown Corner. If the piece of AE has an Attribute that you've already soft-capped, its net even [2 SP's per point to raise ... 8 Bonus Tokens = 2 SP's].

lol ya i could currently buy a +3 jumping and 5% deflect ball chance pair of gloves but seeing as im a WR the whole deflect ball would suck but that could be an amazing pick up for any defensive player especially corner cause its only one less point than 4 and its got the percentage and could be upgraded on top of it all, there are few items the higher lv ups could use and want but this is def one of em that id get if i was a CB

Two pretty good ones for that in my store right now. Too bad my CB isn't a return man...

+2 speed, +1 Head Fake
+2 vision, Not fumble chance 5%

I guess I'll go with the +2 jumping, Deflect ball chance 5%. I'd prefer something with a SA, but I'm trying to limit the shopping trips.
