My questions is on the pocket passer penalty for the dump pass SA....One of the things it says Dump Pass is good for is fast striking spread offenses, how will this effect Quarterbacks built using dump pass to increase effectiveness in short passing games.

Think of the archetypes as being the focus of the build, not the entire build.

Good statement.

You're telling me. I've struggled with a good idea for quite some time, but if I knew it would be listened to (lol suggestions forum), I'll try a bit harder. I'm sure it could be done, but the problem is any solution will require basically a hijack and re-start of the entire current system.

Anyway, enough of that, that isn't what this topic is about

a few things i saw people post that i just kind of wanted to say mixed in with my own ideas.

2. i would gladly make ST players... if i didnt have to pay 200 flex to make and 800 to boost. Maybe 200 to make and 100 (150) to boost? Lets face it, these players will never get the stats/snaps (in a respectable league atleast) to warrant paying the same amount for.

4. I just feel like people will find one Archetype that works better then the rest and EVERYONE will be that type. I feel like this game needs more ways for players to spend the cash that they are paid on things that allow them to be different from everyone else. Sure zone secondary players and man secondary players will be a difference that will be important. LB and QB are two that I see people going towards one build with..

5. With this being put in, I think this means you HAVE to address the fact that players need a long peak time. Even if it is just 450-490, one extra season. With the decline being as quick as it is, players need to have this changed. You can even have different lengths for different positions. An RB's career would be shorter than a Punters because that rb is getting hit, either way this needs changed.

Is this taking top priority during season 14 or will work be done on existing issues that have yet to be resolved? Conceptually this seems great, but there are so many other issues that should be addressed right now, IMO...

I'm sure there will be more (also a large rehaul of SAs and possibly dozens of new VAs) being talked about.

Leftwich carries an extra cheeseburger as well, and Freeman is right behind him. O'Connell plays for the Jets I believe.

Now this has me thinkin, Dante at least earlier on was a pretty good mover, while Jmarc has his cleats screwed to the ground (Byron too), I think it would be cool if guys wenrnt so limited by weight cause obviously some guys are freaks, maybe there could be some kind of additional set of bonuses/penalties with %'s or something....

like if you wanted to make young culpepper you could get a juke/agil/break tackle boost but have a greater chance of fumbling when running past the line

or if you wanted to make TO you could get a YAC\break tackle bonus but get catch penalties and take larger morale hits.

Or any pure pass rush DE, you get a boost to break block on passes but if you get pushed way outside or behind the pocket you take an agil hit...

just a thought, sounds cool to me, definitley open to improvement...

So basically the STOP archetypes were made for Bort to make more money...

will players be labeled with their new archtypes like they are now?

for example will a Recieving Tight End be labeled as such, because if not this could be a way to make tagging more important

It isn't difficulty. The supposed problem is that once defense gets more custom slots, the offense will have to have them too which leads to massive unbalance in the game.

I disagree, but that appears to be the stance.

How so, as an OC now I can pick and choose what QB, RB, FB and TE are in for any given certain play/situation. Shouldn't DC's be able to substitute for the same type of situations?

For example, whats the point of having a Hard Hitting SS if I can't guarantee him to be used in run situations?

Ok, I waded through 10 or 12 pages of comments, some good, some silly. This is a game. I assume the changes are intended to make it more enjoyable. They might. Might not. Sorta depends on what you like.

I'm done reading. We'll see how it goes.

Its amazing how some people just grab their pitchfork and torches just because a crowd has gathered. This isnt going to kill the way i build my players, just like the new roller didnt change the way i make players. Its all not THAT different.
