Not even. Alpine still worked their asses off this offseason for recruits. We do every season. And it takes more than randomly PMing a bunch of templates you created to people. No doubt...hell...Lincoln had arguably the second best dotball team there was this season behind Hali and we are still working our asses off to fill the roster with dots. The shit is hard work to say the least...but what i mean is that people want to see results...they could care less what Bort has to say when it comes to recruiting...

I guess my only srs response to all of this is I would rather go 0-16 in the WL than dominate a Pro League.

Maybe this shows some of the people who really are offended that they need to take a few steps back from GLB and reevaluate things a bit.

I felt my team was pretty legit since I had planned on gutting since before the season began. If anything, its the type of wussy thing an asshole would add to his thread title if he 'pretty much' doesn't know the details of what he's talking about but likes to talk in broad generalizations.

If it was another team owner, or player, or GM, or a mod, so be it. Its part of the game. Teams in APL weren't up to snuff and we got called on the carpet. So be it. Take the lumps and be done with it. But it wasn't another player and this isn't part of the game. Bort is by definition meta game.

The simple fact is it is now entirely legitimate to tell APL to go f' themselves because Bort, the guy who runs the place, says its OK. That includes legit teams from season 12 like my own. Bort didn't suggest there were legit teams. He only suggested that teams in APL, by proximity to being in APL, had 'wussed out' - 'pretty much'.

Frankly, Bort messed this one up and pulled a dick move - 'pretty much'. But just in this case. I'm not going to generalize from it. On the whole I really dig the game Bort has made and will gladly tell anyone that Bort's little playground is pretty damn cool. In this case, though, he blew it.

Or maybe he just didn't want the specific teams to get called out, so he didn't want to name names.
