To even post the thread was in poor taste Ray. There are stupid people everywhere and the last thing we want is to magnify it. The sad thing is people will then go overboard the other way and make people hire a black or other minority in certain percentages, to somehow show equality.

MLK put it very well when he longed for the day "when a man would be judged by the character of his person and not the color of his skin".

Discrimination takes many forms today and perhaps the most discriminated against person today is a Caucasian Christian male. Just look at the obstacles they have to overcome when bidding on a government job for instance.

EDIT: Anyway, bottom line is extremism on either side is usually wrong.

The rich get richer. Considering LHN only nets the athletic department $5M if all conditions are met, it is kind of small potatoes

Let's not get crazy here. P12 was making similar boasts about its network(s) and they got a does of reality. The reason why the B1G network worked so well is they have alums that moved south and it helped drive the network's availability. How many SEC fans are actual alums and even more so, how many leave the SEC country. If California isn't clamoring for the SEC, then that would be a problem. Furthermore, the source of this information is slightly biased.

It is also interesting to note that a deal with Dish Network is almost done, and when it is done, the other dominoes will fall

t-sips have won 1 championship in 44 years. Granted, that is more than A&M. However, t-sips have the mentality that they are the kings of college football and should be treated like their shit don't stink. The following schools have been more successful since man landed on the moon:

Alabama - 7 titles
Miami - 5 titles
USCw - 5 titles
Nebraska - 4 titles
Oklahoma - 4 titles
Notre Dame - 3 titles
Florida State - 3 titles
Florida - 3 titles
Penn St. - 2 titles
LSU - 2 titles

These teams have been as successful:
Pittsburgh - 1 title
Clemson - 1 title
Brigham Young - 1 title
Georgia Tech - 1 title
Washington - 1 title
Colorado - 1 title
Georgia - 1 title
Tennessee - 1 title
Michigan - 1 title
Ohio State - 1 title

Our two national championships were in 1919 and 1939. Y'all racked up 3 in the Woodstock era, and only have one since then. In recent history, you are more on par with Pittsburgh, BYU, and Washington than you are Bama, LSU, FSU, etc. In the present, A&M has surpassed you in facilities, recruiting, popularity, conference affiliation, and team success. When we win a championship under Sumlin y'all won't even have 2005 to hang over us, and I expect the suicide rate in Austin to skyrocket.

Domino's? Not saying major cable providers and DirectTV won't pick up their network, but Dish isn't something to hang your hat on. The fact they still exist is something I suppose.

Agree with this. Ray is an extremist even for an Aggie fan, and it gives me a headache.

Dish network has 13M subscribers, Uverse has 4M. ESPN is behind the deal, and the SEC gets better ratings by far than any other conference. The other providers will pick it up before launch.

How was that article incorrect?

Let's see.

1. The fans are the reason we have a new coach. We were unhappy with the state of the program, made our voices heard, and changes were made. How that can be considered out of touch is beyond logic.

2. The LHN was in the works well before the 2010 season. How the LHN can be an attempt to make the brand national again when it was in the works at a time when we had played in 2 MNCs and 4 BCS bowl games in 5 years is again beyond logic.

3. Texas fans don't always expect a national title. Texas fans expect to always be competing for a national title. We are the richest school in the nation and the flagship program in the most talent rich part of the country. We have the second most wins ever and recently went through a time period of 9 straight 10+ win seasons, including 3 BCS bowl wins and an MNC (and playing for a second). Those expectations aren't unreasonable.

And I'd really like to know what excuses the author is referring to, considering that Texas fans were very clear that they blamed the coaching staff for not living up to their expectations.

4. It is actually true you see Hook Em' sign everywhere. So the author was 1 for 4.

Also, the writing was just putrid. An article that bad wouldn't even make it on breitbart.

IIRC, the Big 12 distributed more money per school than any other conference in the 2012-2013 fiscal year. You can brag about how much your conference makes, but when you divide it by 14, each school gets less than each school in the Big 12. Only aggie logic would deduce that the SEC schools are getting richer that way.

You keep on talking crap about the SEC network. Texas gets its own network. All you're doing here is just hiding behind your conference's skirt again. Providers and subscribers will get that network to see schools like Florida, Bama, and LSU, not schools like Miss St, Vandy, and A&M.

This is just aggie greatness here.

First, you choose 44 years as the time period so that you can conveniently leave out that we have 4 titles.

Second, you compare us to schools like Pitt, BYU, and Washington while ignoring the fact that we have the second most wins ever and were one of the most dominant teams of the 2000s.

Third, you try to claim you have surpassed us in facilities when your new stadium hasn't even been built yet and your other facilities are crap compared to ours.

Fourth, you claim that you've surpassed us in recruiting because you have a better recruiting class than us during the current season. One season does not make a trend.

Fifth, you talk about winning a championship when you haven't even done it yet or come close. Your defense still sucks balls, you just lost the greatest player ever for A&M who couldn't even come close to winning a championship, and you also lost your all-world WR and your top OT. And you lost those players after going 9-4. Here's a word to the wise: teams don't get better when they lose their best QB ever, their top WR, and their top OT off a team that couldn't defend the School of the Blind.

You're just making yourself look so delusional in this thread.
